Shade's Album Upload Topic
soundless_space replied to shade's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
OHHH thank you!!! Much appreciated. The Canadian music I want is always really hard to acquire! Thanks. ALSO he doesn't really come 'round these parts much anymore but TODAY IS SHADE'S BIRTHDAY kids. If it weren't for him we wouldn't have this awesome thread. Just saying. -

Yesss Jill Barber is great from what I've heard. I could only find the Oh Heart EP but I love it. -

*shoots self* Who the fuck was I trying to impress? I haven't even heard the other albums.... Anyway, here's the song: [hide_me]http://www.sendspace.com/file/i5qg9x[/hide_me] Not the best quality, but should be fine if you don't really care. -

Radiohead Concert
soundless_space replied to Doormat's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Seriously this is Radiohead we're talking about!! At least they haven't gone all U2 on us. -
Creative Zens > iPods definitely. Anyhoo I find something very charming about lending a friend/family member an album in its entirety. Meaning the booklet, the artwork, the thank yous, so that way the person listening to it can get what the artist intended it to be physically as well as the way they wanted it to sound. Otherwise why would an artist spend so much time creating what it looks like, you know? To just have someone get it on iTunes and never appreciate what it was supposed to be in completion?

Right, I said was because they don't have another one like it and there won't be another one like it. edit: in my opinion, of course. -

The Canadian Dream was a good song. -
I didn't think Matt wrote the original post but holy shit I'm confused. edit: kbernardp, did something happen to you in Buffalo? If so I apologize on behalf of all the dumbasses out there. Shit happens.
-
Semantics. Ya I don't know. If I knew what happened it might make more sense.
-
I'm lost. If it were really that big of a deal, I think Matt would be more upset about it? I mean I know he's good at letting things slide because shit happens to him all the time, but it didn't seem like what happened was that bad, I don't know. Edit: either that or people know something I don't.
-
Anyway probably just something to do with him not meeting people after the show.
-
Yeah the crowd was alright. The people next to me were getting a little too drunk towards the end though. Anyway I just sent out the show if I missed anyone please yell at me.
-
Keep in mind I am no recording master, this is bootleg quality. But listening to it now it's not horrendous. EDIT TYPO

Shade's baaaaaack. Anyhoo I recommend the Rollins Band. It's a fun album for for sure. -
I just went to Ellen West's MySpace, the supposed opener. WTF can we get two good openers in a row? Please? Anyway I'll stop bitching now. Everyone who's going to the show tonight, have a rad time I'll see you there.

Actually, I second this. I can't find any of his stuff on the 'net. Also Chris, I am downloading the Ray LaMontagne. I have heard a lot of good stuff about him. -

Oh god that is too hilarious. -
Ya acoustic is fun and whatever but I want some bass and drums and electric guitar back.
-
For serious we need an all-bander. I never wanted my MG concert track record to be more acoustics than not.

And why did he have to stretch it with that stupid outro? Probably the lamest song on the album, yes. -
Haha it's all good. I know him.
