finally remembered to download a real copy of their new album. they fixed the only thing i didn't like about them! the 'blankets on the amplifiers' thing is gone on the distorted guitar parts, so i can thoroughly enjoy them now ;)

i woke up and dry-heaved the other night because of a dream. it involved some kinda guerrilla warfare jungle stuff er something. i was kinda there, and kinda watching it like a movie at the same time. anyway, the thing that made me dry-heave was this bit where these jungle native looking dudes told this other dude they were gonna eat him. the view flipped from them to him, and he had spears going every which way through his face and head. i popped awake, and dry-heaved at the same time. it was fucking weird.

well...if the guitars are pretty rad, i give it a go.

the planet smashers set at the edgefest thing i went to was the worst concert experience i've had. not cuz of the band. i was into that 3rd wave, party ska shit at the time. the bad part was the crowd moshing. the smashers play straight up, clean sounding, bouncy, happy ska. not ska punk or something. a bunch of the people in the crowd started moshing. pushing and shoving. it was ridiculous.

bonnaroo's site is pretty pimp. i'm gonna sift through the other life shows for sure to see what's kicking around. i know there's a dave matthews one, so i'll probably have to get that.

live disc 1 live disc 2 they're huge downloads, cuz they're flac files. i think the live version of woman king was my favorite.
