These are all guilty movies it seems...how about music? My friend got me hooked onto Elton John. He's an amazing songwriter. Simple as hell lyrics with enough emotion to drown anyone else out.

I've seen him 3 times and hung out with him once in Vancouver randomly on the street, and once after the show a few nights ago in Calgary. Super nice and down to earth...albeit a little moody. But anyone not moody is usually naive to the realities of the real world. and again...a DVD would own.

Amazing book....read it for the 2nd time last week. I already knew much of what it told me...believe it or not, it's nice to see people approaching their beliefs on different levels and questioning what's been pushed into our heads since we were kids.

Got it the day it came out (working at a music store and all)...it's amazing...probably their best album since Disintegration. A little short in running time, but the first single is amazing. The video for it is done by Canada's own Floria Sigismondi who did videos for Sigur Ros and Marilyn Manson. I give it 5 outta 5.

I've seen Tool live 2 times, both right at the front hugging the rail and all I can say is that if you haven't, on their next tour hitchhike, steal, lie, camp out, walk, crawl...do whatever you can. You won't regret it. Supposedly their next album is gonna be the heaviest. I'm drooling as we speak.

Am I the only one who would kill for a Matt Good CD/DVD set to be released. Just imagine the obscene amount of live and b-sides that could be on the cd. Not to mention the crazy stuff they could put on the dvd. I'd like to see on the DVD all the videos, live footage, and backstage and tour stuff. Matt walking around Coquitlam for an hour would be entertaining as hell.

WLRRR, Avalanche, Beautiful Midnight, AOB, and Loser Anthems are the best for me.

I'd say for now Matt solo. MGB was amazing though...too hard to say for sure.

Did anyone go to the show last night in Banff? Saw Matt both times in Calgary and he played different sets each night so I was just wondering what songs he played to see if there were any other tracks he didn't play in Calgary at all. Personal favs of both nights: Near Fantastica, Avalanche, Giant, Empty Road, and BUFFALO SEVEN!!!
