  1. I'm surprised more people haven't voted for Black Helicopter, or 99% Of Us Is Failure; the two most obvious radio friendly songs on the album (more so than even Born Losers, in my opinion) Not that I would ever want Matt Good to be played on the radio, but for the sake of argument.
  2. I'm confused. Where did people hear Born Losers? Did he stream it on his site?
  3. My guess would be Black Helicopter. I can see that song getting at least moderate radio play.
  4. Posting about her blog was a pretty pompous thing to do, IMO. He was totally siccing the fanboys on her.
  5. Thats just stupid. How many lives has that man's music changed, and hes packing it in because some douche started a rumor involving him and 10 hookers. Seriously, I love the guy but you would think he of all people would have thick enough skin to deal with shit like that without resorting to giving up music altogether. Personally I think its idiotically melodramatic.
  6. Please refer to my last post about how you are, in every way, the definition of an asshat.
  7. Sarcasm can be great when the person wielding it has a brain. When they don't it just reaffirms its user's doucheness to the rest of world.
  8. No mystery in his words; Thick tone. Heavily layered guitar tracks. Anyone who plays guitar, or has half a brain, could easily see what he was getting at. Sparse, stripped down, ambient. Like Rooms from IAC. Whats wrong with discussing an artists music on a forum that is meant for discussion about his music. In closing, you are a douche of the highest order.
  9. There are two sides to every story. Perhaps people should try and keep that in mind.
  10. In thinking about a new title I've come to realize just how genius the title "Audio Of Being" was. Fucking brilliant. I think the new one should be called "The second coming of Good." It would be a generally accurate assesment and would create an atmosphere of pretentiousness around the release that would appeal to fans both new and old alike. But thats just me. "The Matthew Good, the Bad and the Ugly" or any or Good related movie title pun may also work.
  11. The prime time deliverince cover by jeremy wilson is fantastic.
  12. Almost every non acoustic Matt Good show I've been to have had those really cool landing pad spotlights (like in the Weapon video) that always blind me or induce siezures. I always thought they were pretty awesome.
  13. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I think 2007 and onwards might be the second coming of Matt. If instability in Matt's personal life gave us Avalanche, I can only imagine what the "worst year" of his life is gonna create. Not be insensitive towards his problems but instability has created some of Music's most difinitive work. Avalanche being one of them. I still feel for the guy though.
  14. The newest entry on the MBLOG:
  15. WTF!?? Im on his Myspace and I dont see any new song. Where it be?
  16. The first time I saw him was at the Calgary Stampede. He was playing the Coke stage right after Avalanche came out. The next morning, first thing I did was go out and buy every Matt Good CD I could get my hands on. I don't wanna be corny and say it like changed my life or anything, but it definately did change my whole perspective on what good music was. Good times. Same here. I used to think Matt Good was the worst Canadian artist of all time until I actually really listened to it for the first time. Back when Much played Hello Time Bomb, Load Me UP, and Appartitions pretty much back to back to back I wanted to kill someone. I kind of always thought of MGB as a "Molson Canadian' band (kind of like NIckleback) where you kind of expected every song was made specifically to sell cheap beer to rednecks. Mainlyl because Matt chooses his absolutely WORST songs as singles. That, of course, all changed when he opened his show at the Stampede with "Giant." I was just like "...yes"
  17. Yes they do. Thats the whole point of music.
  18. Definately Load Me Up; I love that intro chord riff. Also Alert Status Red, and Inescapable Us are fun to play.
  19. Haven't read all of them so I don't know if this ones taken "Theres a Tv in Heaven And its Free even Pay Per View Its what you need if noones gonna visit you Animals, fucking animals"
