It would be awesome if it sounded like avalanche, but i agree that it probably won't sound like any of his albums, cause his albums don't sound all that much alike - especially the last two. I don't wanna hear another WLRRR. There were some decent songs on there, but nothing that blew me away like avalanche. Also, the previous post says exactly what i feel about the post stating that MG is on the downslope. He's not (at least i hope), and i hope that the next album will be a true indicator of that.

Any Pearl Jam Fans?

I have that bootleg and it's freaking incredible. The highlight of my summer was going on an airplane from Detroit to Phoenix and listening to that bootleg for approx. three hours (the length of the plane ride). I swear, when we were just about to land, the third disc ended. CORRECTION: Phoenix to Detroit. I'm a huge pearl jam fan as well. I have that bootleg too, and it's great, but it pisses me off to no end because I transfered to PennState the fall after that spring concert, and my NON-pearl-jam-fan friends got to go to that concert for about 10$ (the cost of a student ticket). Live is coming here though in 2 weeks and i get to see them for 10$ so that is some compensation, and i'm seeing PJ in Philly, although that ticket is a tad bit more pricey than the student ticket. -
I think that Man of Action should absolutely be put on this list. Not sure how popular it was in Canada when AoB came out, but i haven't heard it mentioned on the bored much at ALL. I really like that song. How it builds gradually throughout the whole song is fantastic. So Man of Action is my choice, but barring that... i'm gonna have to go with Inescapable Us, with Fearless in a close second. I do like fall of man, just not as much as the previous two.

How bout a Live song... maybe Lightning Crashes Love Live, and i think Matt's voice would be good for quite a few of their songs.

Suburbia I'm in a pessimistic mood, and that seems to fit it "someday this place is gonna burn, is your whole life in there waiting?" -
Everyone should look at that website, it's VERY interesting. Not saying you should believe it, but at least look at it. From the beginning when Flight 93 crashed, I thought that a military jet shot it down. It was the last airliner left in the air, it had drastically altered course towards D.C., and large parts of the debris on the ground were found miles apart (something that wouldn't have happened if the plane just crashed into the ground). Think about it, what sounds better? - That the brave courageous United States citizens charged the cockpit against the terrorists, and forced them to crash, or that the U.S. military shot the plane out of the sky before it could reach D.C. thus killing however many American citizens? Now, what sounds more plausible? Also, look at the conspiracy theory regarding "Building 7" (not one of the towers) in the WTC complex (make sure you watch the video of that building collapsing and look at the map of the layout of the complex and where all the buildings are in relation). It's very interesting. I've seen demolitions before on TV, and that's what they look like. Not saying I believe that that's what happened, as that is very implausible as well, but i'm just saying that a building like that (that was not target by a plane or otherwise) does not look like it should just implode like that. Makes you think. If I disappear from the forum after this post for more than a week, tell my family and gf I love them. ;)

How's it Gonna Be - Third Eye Blind -
you are so cynical. At least it takes place on an island and it's not just another crime show (which you rightfully bashed). I enjoy its cliffhanger and episodic flashback style to portray each character's (not just ONE boring one) background. I do agree however that answers will most likely be postponed until the show is airing on friday night - the death slot - and i will have probably long ago stopped watching. But I'll enjoy it now, and then i'll find out what ended up happening 5 years from now on the internet, thank you very much. How dare you draw a comparison to Gilmore Girls, or any WB show for that matter ;)

Seinfeld takes the cake, but some of those other shows are real good. Seinfeld is so clever, and the plots tie together perfectly. The Simpsons is outplayed and stale, although I used to like it greatly, and will def. see the Movie when it comes out in 2007. Yea this poll is limited - The office is fuckin' hysterical once you get into it, and Lost is addicting as well - but there doesn't seem to be any non-sitcoms/comedies in the poll. Someone should make a new poll

This is cheaper, and a horrible movie... Speed 2

It didn't have to be a suprise ending, this ending however wasn't very exciting. The ending sufficed. I don't think it took anything away, but it didn't add anything either. I thought it was a decent movie, but not great. I don't know how to add another quote so i'll just do it the old fashioned way - copy and paste: "I thought it was a great movie. I thought the ending was fitting, but the sex scenes didn't really add much to the movie." Haha, i'm just the opposite, i would've liked a different ending but i quite enjoyed the sex scenes. That woman's a piece. I may or may not have paused it after she got out of the shower ;)

Haven't Slept in Years, cause i went to bed at 5am last night and had a test this morning. So technically i have slept, but, nevertheless, i'm tired. -
I can see how people could not particularly like RAT but HATE it?!? Damn. I like Invasion 1. Also coming out in purple is just bizzare. Dunno why people are defending it, what do u see in it? Personally, the fine art of falling apart does absolutely nothing for me - which doesn't make me hate it. But people in this forum voted it the best song from Loser Anthems which does make me hate it.

I feel like most of MGs early demos are either hit or miss, unfortunately most miss. But there are some good ones that I would love to hear him revisit/reinvent - too bad that'll NEVER happen. My top 3 are: 1. The Ocean - just kind of flows 2. South of Summer - cool use of strings and MG's voice sounds unrefined but still powerful. 3. Mercy misses you - cool instrumental (strings and piano)

Three lines: "If everyone's a casualty, then take your time there ain't no trouble. The weather's fine and we're feelin' crazy. There's always drinks and dancin' in the rubble" -
That's a tough question b/c he is sooo strong vocally in so many songs. as an overall song though, i'd have to pick weapon. that song just oozes emotion through his voice - "Never turn your back on it, never turn your back on it, again"
