Anti pop? No! Well, I totally dig that song since I thought it was put together in a really cool way. I despise the rat who would be king, although I have heard so many of you like it from your posts in other threads. I think its the only song I would actually say MG/B has done that "sucks."

I'm happy to see I wasnt completely wrong about that band. Its good that he is opening the door for the rest of his band members.

So You Think You Can Dance?
rockstar replied to Kumquat's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
HAHA! I guess I should've taken that into account, that someone MIGHT actually like that movie... although I think its a pretty universal fact that its one of the worst movies ever. -
I agree... solo matt is good (Even though I do miss MGB sometimes...) but in the interest of doing this for fun, an all Canadian supergroup including: Mike Turner (I know there are a lot of people who dont like OLP, but I thought he was pretty creative and used a lot of cool gadgets and sounds) Kevin Young (Moist) Rich Beddoe (Finger Eleven) Keith Scott (Bryan Adams) Stuart Chatwood (The Tea Party)

It just came to me... that I thought Matt mentioned something about kyle Davidson filming a documentary, cant remember if it was WLRRR or In a coma?

Speaking of She's got a new disguise... anyone got a good tab for this song?

So You Think You Can Dance?
rockstar replied to Kumquat's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
ugh. ugh to all the dance-off shows. Its like constantly watching You Got Served. -
Lady in the Water was excellent, unfortunately, I think I Was the only one of my friends (about 10 of us) that actually got it... and like was said, no big twist, but the movie is very complex in the way that its story was put together and how it unfolds. The message behind it was great as well... again, none of my friends realized that either... I need new friends.

Looks like a good story of actual events, unforunately the preview makes it look like they are going to use that story to spread some good ol' american propaganda.

haha, I am a man... however - I feel that anyone can say that, its the emotion it invokes... of wanting to punch someone in the ovaries.

Whats the deal with this solo album? is there a story behind it, or he just wanted to make one? -
Worst Band....your Thoughts?
rockstar replied to Corrinshwa's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
One man's favorite is another man's crap.... that being said, I hate all the bands you mentioned and any of them is worthy of the title, but lets not forget... Black Eyed Peas! My Humps was the worst thing to happen to music since the Thong Song. -
is that a joke? forgive me for being so naive.
-
Didnt they have a "story of.... Matthew Good Band" when the Audio of Being came out? Is that what we are talking about here?
-
haha... offtopic hilarity. vermillion also.
-
I dont think much of this stuff will be on the record... I remember thinking the same things when the last album came out...

or perhaps spreadable cheese? (i.e. cheez whiz)

David Usher
rockstar replied to Doormat's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Moist was such an awesome live band (strangely I saw them co-headline a show with MGB). Although I know they often refer to "David Usher" as a solo project, I am getting pretty certain Moist is never getting back together. Which is too bad, what I wouldn't give to hear Tangerine and Ophelia live again. Although I thought David Usher's stuff was okay, he's pretty much lost all the edge Moist had, his songs seem too radio friendly and poppy to me. -
We can only hope. If hear "Beverly Hills" one more time on the radio someone is going to get punched in the ovaries.

Dave Matthews Band
rockstar replied to Shortcut To Moncton's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I dont think there is any reason to insult him though... if you dont like his music fine, but he and his band are amazing players. I agree with the thread title, he does get unnecessary slack. -
It is "Kept in the Dark." And "Help Us get rid of the Matthew Good Band" was written on the CD I believe. But Yeah, I have never found a difference between the pleasurable headache lyrics and the others either.

You're not missing much, its an awful ending to an awful movie.
-
IS this movie ever gonna go to wide release? It still not in Sudbury.

I am one of those people who buy their stuff every single time... they come up with an okay song here and there, but where's the rock? its all love love love. They've become melted cheese!
