  1. Damn you American Idol!!
  2. Woah, I didn't even know they had a new album and it comes out in 2 weeks. Damn, that's nice.
  3. Or how about Vietnam, anybody ever listened to them?
  4. Anybody out there ever heard of them?
  5. Yeah, M. Night kinda seems like he is trying to be a modern-day Poe.
  6. A Song For Sleeping-Stone Temple Pilots
  7. Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here Bob Dylan-Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde Nick Drake-Pink Moon Bright Eyes-I'm Wide Awake It's Morning Of Montreal-Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? Any Matthew Good or MGB
  8. The Arcade Fire is pretty amazing, though Funeral is much better than their newest album, Neon Bible.
  9. "Physics makes us all it's bitches" -Of Montreal-
  10. Thanks for all of the ideas. I've read 1984 and Brave New World and had heard of Zamyatin's book, but haven't gotten around to reading it. Now, I've started reading "A People's History of the United States" and Machiavelli's "The Prince."
  11. Maybe he was talking about 1989 B.C.? That could have been a good year in Ancient Egypt or something.
  12. Hmm... does it really matter? It's sad when the breaking news in our society is "Britney Spears shaved her head" and "Anne Nicole Smith is still dead, Day 23"
  13. Myspace is full of US Army banner ads trying to entice you to their discussion board.
  14. Yeah, I'd be pretty sure that nobody would want to go to war with Iran. The thing is that I think a majority of the American people could be duped into that yet again, maybe not today, but say somewhere down the line with a different Republican president at the helm. As long as we are being threatened because the "terrorists" would love to kill us and our families and fight us in the streets of New York, people will continue to be afraid and do irrational things. Lot of good that threat of Commies in San Francisco was about 40 years ago. Although San Francisco does have a "liberal" mayor. Could those war hawks have known what they were talking about?? What a load of crap.
  15. Depending on the situation, it probably could be felt with any of his songs.
  16. I have to say, for a fairytale, this was a rather good movie.
  17. Flags of Our Fathers, while not the best movie, pretty good, namely because Eastwood also made a second movie from the point-of-view of the Japanese side, which is a great conception to show the POV's of both sides of a war.
  18. Hahah, thanks for that recreation of the Office episode. I love that damn show.
  19. Well, the professor from Gillian's Island will be here as well, so anything you need him to build you out of coconuts, he can do.
  20. Anyone that watches the Office should know about Desert Island. Hopefully someone replies something along the lines of Dwight's answer, because that would be hilarious. But wow, that's really a tough question, and I don't really know what my answer will be right off the top of my head. I'll have to get back with my reply to my own question after I think about this.
  21. There's my list of books so far read, though I definitely disagree with the Reader's List. Four Ayn Rand books and three L. Ron Hubbard books in the Top 10? What is up with that? Board's List: The Great Gatsby-Fitzgerald Brave New World-Huxley Sound and the Fury-Faulkner Grapes of Wrath-Steinbeck 1984-Orwell Slaughterhouse-Five-Vonnegut Native Sun-Wright Animal Farm-Orwell Sun Also Rises-Hemingway On The Road-Kerouac A Farewell To Arms-Hemingway Reader's List: Atlas Shrugged-Rand To Kill A Mockingbird-Lee 1984-Orwell Anthem-Rand We The Living-Rand The Great Gatsby-Huxley Animal Farm-Orwell The Grapes of Wrath-Steinbeck Slaughterhouse-Five-Vonnegut The Sound and the Fury-Faulkner On The Road-Kerouac The Sun Also Rises-Hemingway Fahrenheit 451-Bradbury A Farewell to Arms-Hemingway
  22. Hmm, maybe I should have just posted this as a favorite book list. So, now I'll go do that. Thanks for all the replies. I've actually already read Keroauc's "On The Road," Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle," and parts of Crichton's "Next" and a little bit of "The Perks of Being A Wallflower."
