I usually like cats. I got my fiance a cat for Christmas. Until today he's been really well behaved. I went home for lunch today. He had shredded some flowers and made a bit mess in the house. I chased him around the house to give him shit and the little fucker hissed at me. So I put him in his room and cleaned up. I went back in to his room and he was sitting on his bed. I petted him to let him know that he wasn't in trouble anymore. He started purring. It's all good, right? Wrong. As he's purring, the little fucker shits on his bed. GAAAAAAHH!! I yelled at him when I saw the shit and he hissed at me again. Anybody know of any Chinese food restaurants around here? ;)

That live action intro is pretty cool, other than Marg on the wrong side of the car when she's driving. As for the OP, that shit scares me.

Tripoli is one of my all-time favourites. This whole album is underrated IMO. The ending of TWSASOMP is wicked, and Matt's voice (and lyrics) on The Rat Who Would be King is chilling.

I actually like the second one. The first one is better but I was expecting the second one to suck after reading the thread. It's catchy. But On Nights Like Tonight might be my new favourite of these demos.

Wow, great video! I missed out on that tour, I'm glad I can see him play some of those songs on Youtube.

This one is growing on me. I didn't like it as much initially, but I'm starting to come around on it.

Apocalyptica is pretty cool. I also listen to a bit of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, 12 Girls Band, Bond, and Jesse Cook. And thanks to you guys, am now listening to some Explosions in the Sky. Good stuff.

I like this song too. I would love to see Matt release these songs, basically as is, in a near-demo state. They've got a great feel to them. On the other hand, I'm sure a fully produced version of this song would blow my mind.

I'd never heard of Amy Winehouse until the Grammys

I actually enjoy this one quite a bit. The lyrics are just OK but it's a catchy song.

The Boy Come Home and Moon Over Marin would both make great singles, IMO. I'm A Window is one of my least favourite songs on Hospital Music.

Maybe he could give the trophy to his mom. Weren't his other Junos stolen out of his dressing room or something? I'm actually quite indifferent if he shows up or not. I never watch award shows anyway. It would be nice to see him recognized for his work though.

St Lawrence River is a great song. I do like his new stuff, but I did enjoy Moist better than most of his solo work.

It's a demo (that I've never heard). Seems like we're getting really worked up about a song that 1.) is subject to change and 2.) may never be released. So I think we all need to relax, have a drink, and just enjoy the fact that Matt's giving us the opportunity to have some small insight in to the way he develops a song. Speaking of which, anyone have a link to this one?
