  1. MLA? When did he start citing in his lyrics?
  2. So he's all fine now? Did he mention his illness at the shows since his return?
  3. Three hours seems to work, 3-and-a-half to 4 if you want to be sure.
  4. Heh...A lot of people were staring at us oddly, but some others nearby understood what to do. Good times, that was. I think everyone loved hearing Avalanche first because it's such an amazing song, and he never does it live.
  5. It comes down to one simple question: booze, or an incredible experience at the front?
  6. Showing up mega early pays off, man. The drunken assholes don't show up until the last hour before the doors open.
  7. I would've paid $50 before knowing how great the show was gonna be.
  8. This is so odd, because I thought he looked fine and in good spirits at Call the Office. When the security guys told us he was feeling sick, I thought they were just trying to get rid of us by exaggerating things, since he seemed okay inside. If he was feeling shitty during the show, I've gotta commend him for preservering and pulling off such an amazing set. My guess is it's a flu or something, combined with the stress of the road and whatever else.
  9. Odd, I thought that was the best audience of the four shows I've been to. I was right at the front, to Matt's right, and during the quiet moments in the music it seemed like all the chatter was off towards the bar, while people close up were respectfully listening. That's us hardcore fans, I guess - and no drunk whores infiltrated our position at the front this time around. Great setlist, great performance. Since no one's done it yet, I'll post the official set: Avalanche Advertising On Police Cars So Long Mrs. Smith When Hollywood Runs Out Of Indians Breath Of A Nation In A World Called Catastrophe Hopeless She's In It For The Money Sort Of A Protest Song Can't Get Shot In The Back If You Don't Run Strange Days Load Me Up Apparitions Fated Hurt Encore: The Fine Art Of Falling Apart Ex-Pats Of The Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra Tripoli Generation X-Wing Buffalo Seven House Of Smoke And Mirrors I haven't heard a lot of those songs live before (Avalanche, Mrs. Smith, Indians, Breath, Shot, Fated, Hurt, FAoFA, Ex-Pats, Buffalo, House), and those were definitely the best songs of the night, as I see it. Even the songs I've heard at all my shows, like Load Me Up, sounded great in this style. My highlights of the night were HoSaM, Ex-Pats, Hurt, Can't Get Shot, and Avalanche.
  10. I thought the same. As well, it sounded better in London than it did in the clips people posted earlier in the tour.
  11. Damn Rob, your photos turned out great. Mine kinda suck, because my camera gets really slow when you turn the flash off.
  12. That was the Drink, actually. I remember that, although from where I was standing, people weren't that chatty.
  13. I voted for Giant, because it's amazing either as an opener or an encore opener. 21st and Avalanche are great choices too. But why Rat?
  14. It was worse for the London show - $115 to start.
  15. The doors are at 7. Well sock, I might also be wearing the new tour shirt, so you could still wear your CONTENT shirt. I'm sure others will be wearing it too, though.
  16. I can't edit my post now...I forgot to mention my IaWCC single, and that my copy of AoB is the black one with the lyric booklet.
  17. I'll probably be wearing my CONTENT MG shirt...If you see a guy wearing that shirt with the "emo" glasses and brown, mediumish hair, say hello.
  18. I have all the official albums (I don't think Lo-Fi should be included in that, because only a handful of us could actually have it), plus Avalanche vinyl, Underdogs cassette, and two copies of WLR&RR (Digipak and the standard case autographed). EDIT: Also, I have the pre-MGB demos, and a couple bootlegs (London 02, Bayfest 03, London 04, and London 05).
  19. Sadly, no... But either way, I don't think it'd work acoustically.
  20. Most buses here lead downtown. Just get to York Street, and you're pretty much golden. I dunno, I'm planning on going around 4 or 5. The doors are at 7.
  21. I love both songs, but I voted for All Together. I think it's a better song, more heartfelt. However, the wording of this poll is a little odd - AT wouldn't have fit well on the album.
  22. The equipment page on the MG Tab Archive might be a good place to start.
  23. I've only been there for a moshpit show (Billy Talent, blue.skies.at.war, Death From Above), so I'm not sure how they'll do this one. Just look out for a pole in the middle of the mosh area.
  24. Hurt sounds like it has a bit of a country strumming style to it, judging from the first clip. (I prefer the NIN version, by the way)
  25. How much was that new T-shirt, and what other swag did they have on sale?
