Muran- It's possible but getting 4 consecutive tickets could be tough in a somewhat small venue so who knows for sure!

If you go here... http://www.ticketmaster.ca/venue/139276/?s...m_header_search You can click on the drop down menu to select standard chart and you'll see a seating chart of the Centre. Looks like the dress circle is the 2nd level. I tried a few times for pairs and the best I saw on the first level was row O so most likely the first several rows weren't available for the pre-sale.

Guess not since he has had an opener or 2 or 3 at every show I've been to.

I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan so I'll preface this post by saying that, but still... Matt Good isn't at all above being an opening act. Big bands open for other big bands all the time. Pearl Jam recently opened for Petty will be opening for U2 in a few months. I know there are even better examples of huge acts being openers. It's nothing inferior or shameful, it's music. MGB & Pearl Jam played in a festival show in Barrie way back when So obviously I'd be up for an MG/PJ show. Matt and Eddie's vocals are so different they're my two favorites singers so I'd love to see it happen. As for them getting along... They have very similar values and political views. How about MG opening for the Who in October? He could rock out on I Can't Explain.

THANK YOU! I knew there was a spoken word one that I LOVED and it was killing me that I couldn't think of what the song/line was... Is that how it's done in the Snowjob 99 show that I haven't listened to in years?
-
I hate to agree with most people by suggesting to stay clear of the more intense tunes til he's hooked but I have to... I'd suggest songs like Load Me Up, Everything is Automatic, Indestructible and Alert Status Red to start and then Apparitions or Strange Days and then go with your own favorites.

I had that issue too at one of the acoustic shows but for the most part the lights @ the shows are fun.

A couple of slight changes... Haven't Slept in Years in maybe '99/'00 (played atleast twice anyways): "Make me your cannibal make me your product and i will make you rich" Matt adds a spoken "like the Backstreet Boys" or something similar... My favorite lyric adjustment is no longer done, this would have been a while ago too in Everything is Automatic: "One day you'll decompose And you wake up and those Those birds are singing" Instead of repeating "Those birds are singing" The line was "Here I am... here I've always been" and then back into the familiar chorus. You guys are great for posting all your boots & lyrics, thank you!

Thanx for sharing... Your pics make me wish I had thought to buy my digital camera before the acoustic show; what a great opportunity to take good (yea) concert pictures, that doesn't happen often... I had retired from picture-taking at shows but film pics look so shitty when scanned so I think I'll have to give it another go next show.

They're my 2 favorites songs off LOTGA so it's a toss-up... Altho I remember wanting to quote both for my yearbook grad quote but only had room for a Fearless quote so with that logic, this time I'll go with SWW. -
I love that they're back to playing MGB & other modern "classic" rock. It's unfortunate that they won't play -new- music tho. (According to a dj I talked to a few months ago... I had asked if they would play the new Pearl Jam since they're back in the rotation and he pointed me to the Fox. Blah.) Does anyone else long for the days of the "double-shot" (on the Fox)? It was so common to hear two MGB songs in a row several times a day... I realize that can be accomplished listening to the album but I enjoy the spontaneity that was radio back in the day. Ok, done reminiscing.

I heard Oh Be Joyful yesterday on the Zone... I'm not a frequent listener due to the lack of decent reception but they seem to have a wider playlist than the Fox (for modern music anyways). I haven't heard any non Underdogs/BM tracks on the Fox in a while. Sad because they used to be so suuportive of all things Matthew Good a while back.

I would have a hard time breathing if Matt covered Pearl Jam. I think Black would be too much, yet if Matt could make that song his own it would be phenomenal.

How was the lineup before the show? Is the venue as good as its been hyped up to be? I'm worried about how the sound would be if my seats were only so-so. Any thoughts would be appreciated! (I'm way too used to seeing MG @ the Commodore.)
