I saw like, half an episode once and I thought it was the most hilarious thing ever. But then I was never able to catch it again :S -

Me too lol Tifa is hot. -
I am completely happy to tip if I've been given exceptional service at restaurants, salons etc. etc. As for the bartering thing, I'm inclined to agree, because in Hong Kong, Philippines, etc etc, even in malls/retail stores (save super high end brand name stores), it's completely alright to bargain... I mostly see the bargaining thing from older Asians though. I absolutely HATE those freaking young Asians that actually *scoff* if something hasn't been paid for, full price. I have a girlfriend (who's Taiwanese), who was looking at things at nightmarket and said "Nono, I won't buy that here. It's not real! Only 50 bucks? It has to be expensive to mean anything!"

Ever Met A Rock Star?

Other than meeting Matt Good a few times, I haven't met anyone... I don't think the bassist and ex-keyboardist for Barenaked Ladies counts as rock stars XD -
The not walking aside, to allow other people pass (in addition to walking at a snail's pace), I have also noticed. I find it extremely rude, and I can honestly tell you I have no idea why (as an Asian). From my experiences with the Asian culture, I've sort of noticed that Asians my age are brought up very spoiled, and around parents who teach not to be charitable to others you don't know (charity causes, girl guides and the like), not to tip well, and who do not stress the importance of learning the language of the country you are in. I don't know...I think what I'm trying to say as that Chinese people are kind of stuck up and selfish, I have no idea where it stems from and we kind of think that we're better than everyone else, so it's obvious that we own the roads as well, so we can drive any way we choose. Oh. And we're kinda short so we often can't see over the dashboard. (I would like to stress the tongue-in-cheekness of this post)

Charles: He's absolutely wonderful and fat now. I hate it XD We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary this October, in Disneyland! I know it's not a lot of time compared to some relationships, but I've got a good feeling about this one ;) I should really thank the Bored, otherwise I'dve never met him! \(^0^)/ Anton: Sucks to your grammar. -

Worst Concert You Ever Paid To See
Muran replied to beerman37's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
No, this was before she had a permanent show (and all the gay ass opulence) at Caesar's Palace. Although, I think the show was at CP... I was like, 10 or something. It was in a pretty small lounge-type venue (in that seating was at tables). -
If you fumble the ball and don't get to the wall, before someone else throws it against the wall, yeah. But the person faced the wall, and everyone knew not to aim for anywhere other than the ass. Hence "Butts-Up". Honestly, the only reason why it was banned, was because kids were coming home with giant muddy marks on their school uniform.

Yeag, I'm a bit choked about the lack of favourites on my part, on their last 2-disc set. I do love "Adrift" though. That's weird, nearly everytime I've seen them live (about 4 times), they've played Jane O.o I was actually pretty happy they played a few old school songs like "Hello City" and "Grade 9". -
Yeah seriously, I think that's horrible. Games with less physical contact? Way to make kids into adults with intimacy issues :S I'm kind of surprised that more kids didn't object actually... I remember when they banned Butts-Up and Red Rover in our elementary school, everyone was pissed.

So, Yellow Pages had this 99 Years Thank You concert tonight, and my friend won 4 tickets to it, so seeing as I'm the hugest BNL fan in her circle friends, she took Kevin and I. Jay Leno opened for them. They were hilarious. Unfortunately, we didn't get the full BNL experience, as they only really only played upbeat singles. They opened with One Week, but didn't do the dance, but I was glad to have gotten to see the new Angry People dance (pictured above). Lots of jokes about Yellow Pages (like people using "AAA" in their names so they can be first), being the designers for the new Canucks logo, how Jay Leno holds his mic way to far away from his mouth, and how Nickleback's pyrotechnics smell like farts (They had some sparklers during "Brian Wilson"). Amongst other things. I had great seats too, row 3. ;) -
I didn't realise we had Dark Tower series fans in the hizzouse. It's a fantastic series. I was hooked from the Gunslinger and it just went from there...

I used to smoke, and my friends absolutely hated it, so they would do anything in their power to find, throw away or destroy my cigarettes : P One time, I bought a brand new pack of cigs, and a few days later I figured I'd have one. I opened the pack and pulled one out and it fell apart in my hands. And it was sort of wet. Every single one of my cigarettes were soaked. Apparently, I made the mistake of leaving my purse unattended at my friend's house, and he took it upon himself to dunk all my cigs in the toilet and then lovingly placed them back in their pack. Asshole. After awhile, I just got sick of it and figured shisha, which my aforementioned friend loves smoking, would be a fine enough substitute.

The only thing I know about Halo is Red vs Blue.

You are SO very right! I don't like the taste of weed at all, so mixing it with shisha is the best way to get high, plus, it stretches your weed budget, because one puts less weed in. Stick to the fruit flavours tho, caramel and weed are not good flavourmates.

Minus Man is one of those awesome movies that no one's ever heard of...

You thrust your pelvis, HUH! -
I used to smoke, but then I started smoking shisha and found cigarettes redundant and less delicious.

It's hard to see these people on the streets, and working where I do, I deal with a lot of them over the phone, and it's really difficult to talk to them often. It's true, many of them are mentally challenged in some way. I hate that there was once a place for them to go, but they've been shut down. I never knew how to deal with a person who's asking you for money, but our accountant always said "carry a couple apples in your purse and give them those." or simply say "Sorry, not today." So I do that when my bag is big enough. My mum used to go into bakeries and buy a dozen siu pao (They're like, big meat buns) and give them to people who were asking for change. On the other hand, they are SO pushy in the gastown area. They will follow you for *blocks* and won't take anything *but* money. One guy would not leave us alone and he kept telling me to shut up when he was talking to Kevin to beg him for some money. I wanted to clock the guy. My boss is on the VPB (Vancouver Police Board) and he does everything he can to help these people (kinda sucks sometimes because if LSS doesn't wanna pay for their case, he'll sometimes do it for free...and that doesn't pay our bills O.o), but he says sometimes it feels like helping lost causes and it's frustrating. :/
