None of this takes away from the fact that the movie looks like absolute shit. I really don't understand Kevin Smith Worshipers. He can make good movies (he can also make crap) but they're not among the greatest. He's no Woody Allen.

Anything by Aldous Huxley, especially Point Counter Point.

As far as twin bands go, they're no Nelson. Those boys is pretty.

Put aside your bias, disregard the trailer and go watch this movie. It is an intense, beautiful piece of work--the trailer, I'm sure, was done by the studio. I disregarded the film when I first saw the trailer, too, but it is a mistake. It tells the story of this particular flight without politics, without bias, with very little dramatization. There are even people who were actually in the control towers and military rooms that day 'acting' in the film. Go see this film.

If you don't understand the importance of the sex scene on the stairs--not in turning you on--and the ending didn't amke you think about societies mixed perception of violence then the film was lost on you. And William Hurt was just masterfull. How he didn't win an oscar for the role is beyond me.

I haven't bought tickets yet cause I was fighting a bout of depression and financial difficulties but I sooo want to go. Anyone know if tickets are still available?

Come on people... Tom Waits! Get anything and everything by this man. While you're at it check out the Tom Waits of Hip Hop, Buck 65.

I loved this movie. I read the book a few years ago and loved it as well so I was excited to see that they had made this movie--doubley so when I saw that Hoffman and Cathy Keener were in it. It showed beautifully how Capote suffered so greatly to produce his masterpiece. If you haven't read In Cold Blood yet, I highly recommend it.
