We have a couple of "stalkers". Guys, who call us everytime we post a new job, and they feel they're qualified for it. They basically bounce between me and my boss, when we try to ignore them. Now here's the important thing...they are never even remotely qualified for the jobs we post. Rick: I see you posted a job for a senior network engineer. last week. I'm very interested. Me: Well, yes it's a senior network engineer position, requiring various certifications. Rick: Can you put me in for it? Me: Rick, you don't have any of the certs they're looking for. This is for a very large network, with 8 satellite locations, all linked up. You really don't have any of the any experience with this type of network. This would be as very bad fit for you. Rick: Are you sure? Me: Yes Rick, I'm sure. Rick: How about this Software Product Manager position? Me: Have you ever written a white paper? Drawn up specs? Solicited existing clients for new specs?, Edit product documentation? Rick: No... Me: Rick you realize this is 75 miles from your house right? Rick: Oh yeah, I was hoping they'd let me work from home most of the week. (Under my breath, I say, are you fucking serious????) Me: That's not really feasible for this position Rick. I have completed my American Pie Odyssey...culminating with American Pie Presents: Beta House... Notable for the abundance of hooties, and not much else...as with each of the three American Pie Presents films, Mr. Levinstein(Eugene Levy) is the funniest part.

But James Jamerson, Geddy Lee, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Michael Anthony, Stefan Lessard, Rudy Szarzo, and a few others all place high on that list. Jamerson is where the bass begins...Wooten and Lessard might be where it ends. Jamerson is the only Bassist I've ever seen, that could carry a rhythm section.

Okay...it's been a few days, and I've had a chance to collect my thoughts about the last debate. Obama is definitely not politics as usual...McCain spent the entire debate attacking, and sucking his teeth and sighing, like a sista with an attitude...a large part of his attacks were based on things that were proven to be untrue. I commend Obama for not getting mired in the muck here, and AM DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED in McCain, someone that I had a tremendous amount of respect for, for behaving like a four year old. Scratch that, the girl's 4 year old, behaves better than he did. As for those videos, this is what happens when you cater to the lowest common denominator. Not all republicans and conservatives, are ignorant racsists. I've had a lot of healthy debate and conversation with people from across the party lines. Some of my closest friends are dyed in the wool, Republicans, and I have usually been a moderately conservative democrat. All kidding aside, the kind of language Palin has used at rallies and appearances, borders on being Hate-speak. It is dangerous, and inflammatory. I'm not singling her out, I personally think it's some of the worst instances of it, since Louis Farrakhan...someone that I have felt has done more damage opening his mouth, than anyone could ever do to their own race, and that race's relations with others.
