  1. I think the multi-track recording process, suits Matt better...if you listen to almost any song, you can see that there is an almost harmonic duality to the recording. Raw, yet surprisingly clean. I think, a 4 track cut or two would be good(accoustic or something really hard and raw), but I think Matt achieves more musically with the multi-track. He uses great musicians. If Priske is on the next Disc (I hope so, I like his style and talent)he'll be better suited to multi-track, to capture the tone,it'll give the rhythm section a better groove.
  2. I sing Symbolistic White Walls in the shower, and when I'm lucky enough to find the time to pick up my Bass, I play it to warm up. I usually wind down with Near Fantastica and Everything Is Automatic. Matt writes accessible music, that is pretty inspirational. This thread, speaks volumes about that.
  3. I like "The Same Deep Water As You" and "Disintegration" By the Cure. My first band to play live on stage(nearly 20 years ago) was a Cure cover band. The Sting/Police ideas are really cool. "Roxanne", "Can't Stand Losing You" and "Don't Stand So Close"(Done more like the "86" version) would rock. I think that Matt could do a far better job on a "Little Wing" cover than Sting did. Maybe as a duet with Holly McNarland. I saw the Catherine Wheel suggestion, I think Matt would absolutely dominate with "Black Metallic" either electric or accoustic. Matt has proven his versatility time and time again. I don't think there isn't much he can't do, if the feeling is write. As a totally off the wall cover, I think "Run To You" By Bryan Adams would be pretty interesting. (Showing my age big time there)
  4. I voted Apparitions, but I think both songs are good, I also like both videos equally. Musically and Lyrically, they are just really great songs.

  10. I think it's a lot of baloney...Bush would have to have an iota of intelligence...in order to be behind it...let's just say...the lincoln bedroom light is on...but no one is home. This is fake.
  11. I was at work, at my last company, and we had a number of people who normally took the two flights that flew out of Boston, to get out to the west coast. The influx of calls coming from loved ones, as we desperately hunted for our co-workers, was higher than our regular call volume, by tenfold. We sent out a global email to all of hour customers, asking them not to call in to the support lines, as we used them to field calls and place calls, in regards to our 25+ co-workers that were on the road that day. Among them, my mentor and close friend Chris. My wife at the time, went to their house to sit with her and the kids. Imagine the relief we all felt when every single one our friends were found. The attack would effect my family as well. My little cousin Nick(or as we call him Nikki Sixx)a paramedic, was one of the first responders at Ground Zero, when the buildings collapsed he was outside rendering aid, after making a few trips into one of the towers. After they collapsed we didn't know whether he'd been inside or not. We were all greatly relieved to find that he was alive. A close family friend worked for the Port Authority and his office was in the building, he was on vacation at the time. My company had four guys who were trapped on a Golfing resort trip to Puerto Rico. Some reward that was for them, they were stuck there for several days, with no way to get home. I look back at all of these things, and I think how lucky I was to not have lost a loved one that day. I also feel a deep and intense sadness for those who did, and for those who survived it, who suffer with the memories of it.

  13. Someone should take this moron and bury her beneath the jail.
  14. Homemade Chicken Soup, Nyquil, Vicks Vapor Rub(and someone nice to apply it, definitely not your mom.) and some Dayquil
  15. If we do go with Christian Angel, it will be understood that the meaning will be explained. He'll understand who his Aunt was and what she was about. Sometimes the heritage in the name given, is important.
  16. I have to agree on Near Fantastica...I have all three versions on a disc, It's just a really strong song, acoustic or electric.
  17. Christian after his late Aunt, and Angel because that's what she is...and it was also her nickname for me...
  18. Still laughing hysterically at this. I may never be able to look at a cat the same way again.
  19. Vermillion is definitely a romantic song, listening to it right now as a matter of fact.
  20. I'll play bass and do some backing vocals...I've always wanted to do Double Life or Everything is Automatic.
  21. Everything is Automatic...it was the first MGB song I ever heard, the first MGB video I ever saw, and I totally identify with the lyrics. I really like andielicious's "Change of Season" Tat.
  22. I can't make a fair comparison, I love both of them. All of Songs are strong and filled with unique power. THEY BOTH JUST PLAIN KICK ASS!!!!
  23. Fearless, Giant(I agree with Crinkleman), It's been awhile since I was your man, Empty Road, Truffle Pigs, and Generation X-Wing
  24. I'd like to see Matt with the following: Rush(I think it would be interesting) The Cure( I think he and Robert Smith could make magic) David Usher (because it would be something very sweet) Me (If I didn't think Rich was such a great bass player, I'd love to play with Matt, and I'd definitely like to write with him) Holly McNarland because their previous collaboration was beautiful. Reuniting with MGB, because I think they had some powerful stuff left to lay down.
  25. All of them!!!! Everything is Automatic is my favorite though!!!!
