I frequent starbucks during the holiday season mainly, and go there sporadically the rest of the year. The music that's usually playing is very smooth. Jazz, blues,soul and quieter stuff like Norah Jones... Some of it is stuff that would find it's way onto my, "Entertaining A Lady dinner guest" mix. I purchased a Christmas CD there, that was pretty good. The Starbucks business history, is impressive. If you're into that sort of thing, pick up the CEO/Creator's book. I think overall, their label is a great idea...they have a built in market for their music. My Mom loves that Ray Charles disc, and she's not a Starbucks fan...so go figure.

John Gardner's James Bond books are very good, I'm reading "Win Lose Or Die" right now, and I just finished "No Deals, Mr. Bond" I'm also purchased a book on greek mythology that looks very interesting.
