i would have to agree with the first post. i ahve never not loved a MG album immediatley, whereas for example, i am trying to get into the new interpol record and trying my damndnest not to throw it out. I ahve so much new music i am trying to choke down, and really only a few albums stand out. Matts usic has always struck a chord within. -M

post mgb for sure. he's still got Rich and the music is a step ahead. having met and seen the current ensemble many, many times, I have to say I enjoy them live far more than during the mgb days. as far as the new tunes, I think they are far more thoughtful, and they rock harder. That, and Matts voice is much stronger. -M

i thought "cant get shot in the back" was brilliant as a closer. probably my favourite show to date, it was intense from start to finish. I really liked the new material live, and it was mixed up well with Hello time bomb, giant, weapon and such. When Matt ripped into that soldier doll I was almost on the floor. "of course its Special forces, because no one wants regular forces." "if you'll notice, she comes with handy knife, and hand grenade, and oddly enough.....a russian kalishnikov.......and in case you were wondering, this toy is not suitable...for children under 3.". something along those lines. too funny. anyways, excellent show, Matt gets better and better as a performer in my opinion. cheers, -M

cool, thanks for the info. concert is tonight, im quite excited. i remember a show early last year that started with house of smoke and mirrors, before avalanche came out. that was the most outstanding way a matt good show has ever started in my opinion. garfinkels on sunday. whos a groupie? -M
