Heh, I suppose it's funnier when you know someone in that position personally, I'm not old enough to know that kind of people but I agree it definitely had funny moments.

I don't know the book/movie but the series is okay. Doesn't look too promising and honestly, don't we have enough cop shows? This show doesn't seem to offer anything new to the genre except for hot women. What I liked about Life for example is the back story which takes the show to a different level than the usual cop series.

Beth, I listened to Oceansize's other albums and you're right, Frames is definitely their best.

Radiohead's albums are always growers. At least for me, not to say I don't like them at first but I definitely learn to appreciate them more as time passes.
