Beth you're awesome. My favorites are also Explosions In The Sky and Mogwai. But there's another band that hasn't been mentioned yet called Apocalyptica, it's four guys with cellos and they make amazing music! They started as a cover band for Metallica and whatnot but check out their original albums like Cult. Their music is really different and unlike anything I've heard before, very intense.
