just got a ps3 slim, so have been absolutely enthralled with Little Big Planet so far. gave Fat Princess a try, too, which seems pretty fun. Looking forward to New Super Mario Bros. on the Wii this winter.

My apologies for taking your comment more personally than I should have. More than anything, I wanted to highlight the process of writing and recording music as being one that is deeply involving and personal. Matthew Good's been pretty open about the process and his approach for doing so, sharing his demos etc., and this is something we should not take for granted. If you don't like the product that's fine! That wasn't what bothered me. Your insistence that you somehow would be able to rework it into a better product came off as a bit insulting. I do think a great deal about the process, as I said, because I have been involved with music for some time. Not to any great extent, but enough to know just how much you really put yourself in to it. Music, because of its personal, intimate nature, unfortunately seems to percolate a sense of entitlement that sometimes drives people to be dismissive or others work and less objective. Anyways. Hope that makes sense! Try not to take what I said personally.

My response did not come from anger. As someone who has worked with music for almost a decade, I think it is pretty prodigious of Matthew Good at this point in his career to take charge and move forward with his artist vision as a producer. To say that he needs one is pretty insulting, and comes from someone who has no appreciation for just how much went in to recording this album. I don't profess that it's perfect, but if you respect the artist enough, it shouldn't have to be. It just seems a bit snotty for someone to come right out and declare how they would've made things better. If you can make it better than by all means, do so.

funny story.. called KROCK this morning to chime in for the mg song name guessing contest.. five song clips were played, strange days / fated / born losers / symbolistic white walls / flashdance II I was nervous as hell, I called in and completely blanked for a second, I was the first guy to get through. didn't expect to get through. so I gave it a shot. they said I guessed the fourth song wrong.. but I'm "so close" so they put me on air.. and said that I had it wrong.. so they moved on to the next caller.. I called back, because upon reflecting, I knew that the clip that was played could be no other song. during that time they had another caller call in and they stopped him short because they said that he too was incorrect. so I knew this had to be addressed, and was prepared to play the original song off of my computer.. tried to call back, managed to get through. by this time, they'd realized that the hostess had read the card incorrectly and it looks like I'll be going to see MG tomorrow in person, in the KRock studio! they also said that the person who called after me is going to be able to go as well since that person too would've had it correct, presumably. so I will try to get photos
