trying to get your point across to maverick is perhaps the most futile attempt at anything that a person can make. just throw gas on the fire and watch the witty retorts spew forth. -
RE: raygun cover amy guip, cover artist: "He is my old room mate. some 18 years ago. John Kuczala" now shut the fuck up with all this kennedy bullshit. congratulations to whomever decided to tattoo someone else's roomate on their chest and pass it off as oswald.

Get out and never return. When you're writing in the "Music in General" section, we should all assume that you're going to talk about music. Moreover, some negro who somehow manages to rhyme "yo" with "yo" is not, despite your beliefs, a musician. Especially if he doesn't even have the talent to play an instrument. Which, if I'm not mistaken, includes 99 percent of all rap artists. Don't get me wrong, I don't need to be impressed either. I mean, if they could just hit a fucking bongo in rhythm , that would be satisfactory. This is all meaningless though. I forgot to factor in that there isn't really instrumentation in rap in the first place. By the way, I don't consider synthesized bullshit that creates a grade two level beat instrumentation. that's why he said 'good' rap. artists like k-os and the roots who play their own instruments and write intelligent lyrics that have nothing to do with pussy and gats. i like k-os, the roots, mos def, common, talib kweli. -

because that scene changed music for an entire decade.. and even still. the only thing that will encapsulate such a massive trend like that is to seperate it from the mainstream and give it a title. grunge isn't so much a genre anymore as it is a place in music history. it stopped an entire decade of musical wankery and flamboyance dead in its tracks and left a wake of influence and comparisons when it ended. -
no, you won't be. invitation only.

well its the same case now with any genre. case in point: both pearl jam and nirvana should not be in the same musical genre. and to add to that, should soundgarden and alice in chains also be in said genre? no sir, no they should not. i will arrange for someone else to have final say in the event of my death. yes they should. that specific genre is based on an entire scene. location, decade, and influence are all the same. interesting theory but since nirvana was influenced more by punk bands and soundgarden was influenced more by sabbath and zeppelin i'm gonna have to say the influence point is shit. unless.. no, it's still shit. not influenced by; influence to. -
