I wish he would come to Seattle, I mean it is right down the road from Vancouver with lots of great little venues. Aw well, I guess going to Vancouver to see him is not so bad.
-
Dear, I think the word you are looking for is ASIAN not oriental.

My best friend has "Stay fearless" in chinese on the back of her neck.
-
I think the highest amount was probably 30 or 40 to see him at the Commodore........4 or 5 times. Or the Plaza...Or the Town Pump.... I saw him at The Rage for free & at the Town Pump for free. Those were contest wins though. I wish I would have caught the Avalanche tour. I have not seen him play in at least 3 years.

I am gonna say whiskey & peelers. But that is only cuz it is what I would do.

Um, I tip my kitchen, I also tip my host. And just to be clear both the host & the cook get a higher hourly wage than I do. Regardless whether there are customers or not. And I would be happy to be paid a higher wage & forgo tips BUT you will see my higher wage reflected in higher menu prices for you.

Sadly my plan to go to night has been preempted by that pesky lifestyle enhancer called "work"
-
I work for tips. But I count on my hourly wage to cover my taxes & insurance. I find it hard to believe that any restaurant can LEGALLY forgo some sort of wage for their employees. I realize tips are a form of payment but the EMPLOYER must pay an employee something. I am addicted to working for tips. I do not think I will ever be able to work at a juob with no tips. It is a thrill to get tipped. SOme weeks you make BANK & others? Not so much. Nothing like living on a crap shoot.

I know it'll never happen but I would love to see Fearless live someday. -
In "Lookhappy it's the end of the world" Even though I had the lyric book, I would swear that he sang "I've got a PAIN machine, it's black & blue" When it is really "I've got a BIG machine"

UM I was talking about scalpers but yeah, they may release a few at the door......

I live in the US. We do not have care cards.

Everytime I have gone to the Commodore I get asked for TWO pieces of ID which is just stupid. Who carries TWO pieces of ID whaen they are at a club.

I am driving from Seattle without a ticket.......I have always been able to get tickets outside the venue just before a show. It might not be the right way to do it but.......Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I waited in line THREE hours during New Music West 97 to see Matt play the last night at The Town Pump. This time I am doing a cannonball run to Vancouver from Seattle November fourth, HOPING to get a ticket (maybe from a scalper) And then cannonballing Back to Seattle that night because the next day is my son's 17th birthday.

I can't listen to Dancing Invisible without weeping.

OLP hold a special place in my heart......They were part of my life soundtrack. I live in Seattle, I used to live in vancouver.....The other night my best friend & I sat in this dive bar, drunk playing all kinds of canadian bands & we were crying.....Sattelite juke boxes are so great. We played Mattew Good, OLP, The Hip, Bif, Holly Mcnarland....But the one line that always gets me from OLP is.... "I miss your purple hair, I miss the way you taste..." Yeah yeah, we are great big geeks. -
Um being a mom I take offense......I just ordered 2 deluxe copies. Being as I am in the states, now I won't have to drive to Vancouver. I am willing to wait until the 21st in order to save the 50 or 60 bux worth of gas it would have cost me to drive that far north.......Not that I owuldn't pay it for the love of Matthew Good.......
