  1. Brown. Nigga what?
  2. What do you people think about the pre-MGB stuff? I think its a little raw from time to time but some of the best Matt Good songs come from that period. Heather's like Sunday, Parable, Folk Singer, Waiting for the Great Destruction and easily one of my top 5 MG songs, Push. The only horrible MG song that springs to mind is Its been awhile since I was your man. Bleh. And just to weigh in, I think Annabelle was pretty good and better than 75% of what was on WLRRR.
  3. Yeah, I hear that. Its horrible and will probably get sensationalized to high hell. But when you get right down to it, he shouldn't have run away from the fucking police. I would think that thats kind of a no brainer.
  4. Wow. By Oliver Stone of all people. I wonder if hes going to slip some conspiracy theories in there. Probably not. Might be a little too sensitive.
  5. Day For Night and Up To Here are the best. I liked the new one too actually, although I also can't remember what its called. Anyone else really like Up To Here? It seems to be the forgotten Hip album.
  6. This is the first I've heard of the 9/11 movie. I don't think its gonna get made for a LONG time. You can't even have the twin towers in movies that are completely unrelated. As for Homolkas battered wife sydrom, what a load of crap. People take psychiatry way too far. People have to be accountable for their actions. Its like theres a psychiatric disorder that can get you off the hook for anything.
  7. I think LOTGA is probably tied with underdogs for best Matt Good album. Does everyone hate LOTGA? I liked fearless too.
  8. Hmm... hard to actually give a best ten so I will list the ten best movies that pop into my head. I Heart Huckabees Eernal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Pulp Fiction The Big Kahuna The Godfather I and II (3 is okay) Casino Scarface American Beauty Snatch The Usual Suspects And can someone explain to me what makes Shawshank Redemption the most beloved movie of all-time? It was well-acted and well-written but to me, I just don't see what puts it at the top. It seemed kinda melodramatic and simple.
  9. Lets get this straight. You are saying you started smoking pot 2 years ago and you say "and back then". At my age 2 years ago is like yesterday. I would guess your age as 15 years old now, right? I will be 21 soon. I simply used the term 'back then' to indicate past tense, foolishly not realizing how immature it would make me sound. Thanks for the heads up though. I almost looked like an idiot there. On a related note, what do you people like to drink? I love Jack Daniels, especially with Apple Juice. But not just any apple juice, oh no. It has to be the Sobeys store brand stuff. Its more sour.
  10. The Who - Behind Blue Eyes
  11. Are Radiohead overrated? Of course they are. They're the darlings of a horde of pretentious hipsters who would rave about an album that is entirely Thom Yorke pissing into a bucket. I think they're great though. 6 albums and not one truly shitty one. Thats impressive.
  12. Sage Francis - Agony in Her Body "I hold today with a death grip. And play hard to get with tomorrow so as not to look so fucking desperate."
  13. Atmosphere - Party for the FIght to Write "And he said some got pencils and some got guns Some know how to stand and some of them run We don't get along, but we sing the same song Party for the fight to write, and write on"
  14. Matt Good - Song for the Girl
  15. Proverbal - ???? "We did it. Petty crimes and misdemeanors. They did it. Nagasaki, Hiroshima."
  16. Jack Johnson - Cookie Jar "It wasn't me said the media man I wasn't the one who came up with the plan I just point my camera at what the people want to see Man its a two way mirror and you can't blame me."
  17. Fast car - Tracey Chapman
  18. But there is a documentary based on Romeo Dallaires book, "Shake Hands with the Devil" that gos by the same name. Not taking away from MGs point though. Its true that there won't be a sensationalized, big budget documentary for Rwanda, but you should watch shwtd if you get the chance.
  19. Black Sabbath - War Pigs
  20. Jack Johnson - Gone Labor Days is a great album I think. Try and get that one. His newer stuff I have mixed opinions on.
  21. First of all, you can't compare this to WW1 or WW2. They were 60 and 90 years ago respectively, and they were completely different situations. And second, do you even know what your talking about? WW1 and WW2 were situations were there was a problem. A single (albeit very convoluted war was fought. 4 and 6 years later the problem was solved. Also I'd like to point out that you're backtracking. You already admitted that: However your above statement seems to indicate that you feel it is necessary to take out ALL the terrorist producing countries of the world. Which by the way, now includes Britain as three of the four London bombers appear to have been homegrown. Iraq was a bullshit way to fight the war on terror, and it was never intended to fight the war on terror.
  22. Aesop Rock and Mr. Lif - 11:35 "Okay, Jose is working in the slaughterhouse Said he's living in the hood, but he wants to get his daughter out Slipped off a ledge, and fell into a machine Another dead immigrant, that's the American Dream"
