Hate to bring up an old thread, but I was thinking recently about how I was never able to find that broken tank logo Matt used. My wife is managing a business that does some embroidery and I would love to try and have that put on a knit hat for the cold weather that's creeping in. Did a search and found this thread. Can't believe that was almost five years ago. Anyways, does anybody have it? Maybe even a picture of it on merch? I'm a web developer/graphics designer and can re-create it...I just can't remember exactly what it looked like.

seriously? i mean....seriously?

I did have a history teacher I wanted to get my dirty little hands on back in the day. She's bound to be saggin' by now though. ;)

I would add some live bootlegs, especially the full live version of She's In It For The Money.

This song is great just like the rest. Every song that's been put up sounds different. I like it. [hide_me]I've got A Single Explosion on play back along with Can't Get Shot In The Back, wouldn't mind adding SIIFTM, 99%, and Born Losers if anyone minds sending ([email protected])...but hey, I can wait for the album too.[/hide_me]

I'm looking for Matthew Good tour posters....mainly the Avalanche, White Light Rock and Roll Review, and In a Coma tours....but others also. Let me know if you have any you would sell or if you know where to find some, and how much you'd want if you're selling. Thanks.

I've played the intro different and think it sounds more like it, but that's just me. The rest of what you've got sounds about right. Standard Tuning Intro: E----0---------0--------------0--------0---0---0---------- B----0-------1---------------1(0-1)--1----1---0---------- G----0--------0--------------2---------0---2---0---------- D----2(0-2)--2-(0-2)-------2---------2---0---2---------- A----2--------3---------------0---------3---X---2---------- E----0--------0---------------0---------0---3---0----------

I actually was watching an interview of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and they asked him if he could name a band that he likes that nobody has probably ever heard of (in the US of course) and he said Matthew Good Band. I kept that name in my head and eventually had the opportunity to get Beautiful Midnight, which was the easiest of the albums to get in the US. I loved it and continue to be amazed by everything Matt comes out with. He shot up my list to be my favorite musician and will always remain there. Unfortunately, the thread by SOLID GOLD where he/she/it was bitching about Earnhardt Jr. being thanked on In A Coma was locked, so I'll take this opportunity to say, to this individual, to please have a nice slice of STFU.

Myspace is so freakin' typical and trendy....screw it www.myspace.com/secondstill ;)

whatever he does for the next album.....i'll buy it.....and if it's more towards the acoustic stuff, then that'll be even better IMO

Has anybody made a wallpaper of the tank logo? Or does anyone have the image so I could make a wallpaper? Thanks for any help.

This song is really nice. Live recording gives it a real personal feel.

It's a B side.....and a very good one at that.

It's a pretty easy song to play. The notes for the verse are: Am, F, C, G(only the top two strings). From F to C to G is a easy progression. The notes for the chorus are generally the same except instead of Am, you play a variation of Dm with the high E string left open. Dm, F, C, G. The funny thing is, Tripoli is pretty much the same notes...Am, F, C, variation of G...you just pick them through and then strum them for the chorus. If you play guitar enough, you can figure it out as long as you have the notes.

I would try my hand at Truffle Pigs, but I've got a shitty mic.......thus, it would sound shitty.

If it's half as good as your PTD cover, then I'll be happy. Can't wait.

I've actually been messing around with that song lately and I just use straight tuning for it. Sounds about right to me when I play it, sounds like the recording. I'm pretty sure these are the verse chords. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- --6-----4-----2-----4-----2- --6-----4-----2-----4-----2- 444---222---000---222-----0- ---------------------------- (Hopefully you can see what I'm trying to say, the damn things won't line up right for me.) By the way, I downloaded your cover of Prime Time Deliverance and have been listening to it quite a bit. Very nice.

Jd On Rock Star: Inxs
deny replied to zebrahead's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I don't care much for INXS or the show, but after seeing it a couple of times......that Jordis girl and that black dude with the mohawk (think his name is Ty) are both good singers. The rest are kind of annoying. That Tara girl I actually remember because I thought she was horrible. -
What are you listening to?

Jon Stewart Hands O"reilly...

The funny thing is that the 'fake news' of the Daily Show is the only accurate view of things on television it seems. -
Damn....that'll be awesome. Most acoustic albums are great, but that would give it a really cool vibe like he's playing on some street corner, street sounds would be better than the noises an audience would make.

His brother also plays in the new band, so I think that was one of the reasons he left. They probably had wanted to form a band together.

Cold will be comming out with a new album in September and they have their first single up on their MySpace page. Check out "Happens All The Time". Cold on MySpace

I looked back a few pages and didn't see a thread about Dark New Day. It's former Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery's new band. Their album comes out in a couple of weeks. I've heard the entire album and think it is great. Check out their MySpace page to listen to some songs from the upcomming album. Dark New Day on MySpace
