  1. I have never had a cell phone. Sure they come in handy, but it is really easy to manage without one. It would be great if as a society we could just keep public conversations on the cell phone short and not abuse them. By which I mean, drive while chatting away on one...one time this guy was ordering fast food while talking on his cell phone. It was pretty damn rude in my opinion.
  2. Most often when old bands start making new music it isn't very good. Depeche Modes new stuff is sounding good.
  3. did not expect to see that listed by anybody. anywhere. ever. hah, more people need to check out that album. For a debut, it is amazing.

    Stay

I didn't see a topic about this one...so hopefully there isn't one eh. I suggest that everyone should go see this film. It has a pretty neat concept which I still do not understand entirely. The Camera shots/angles and Editing was just fantastic...the film is just beautiful. The storyline is fairly 'dark' and interesting...I was interested throughout the whole thing. What are other peoples toughts?
  10. I listen to Free Jazz a lot. John Zorn is really kicking experimental stuff. I don't know if anyone has heard of him, but he has some sweet Collaberations with Mike Patton and the Boredoms. The music is just really Out There and cool.
  11. Grindcore like "Napalm Death", "Pig Destroyer" and the likes is pretty heavy. In my opinion, the heaviest stuff is the "Noise" genre, stuff like Masonna, Merzbow, Wolf Eyes, and the Locusts.
  12. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin Parabol/Parabola - Tool Wish you were Here - Pink Floyd Epitaph - King Crimson Vanishing - A Pefect Circle Street Spirit - Radiohead Be Quiet and Drive - Deftones Thick as a Brick - Jethro Tull Losing my Religion - REM Avalanche - Matt Good Galapogos - Smashing Pumpkins Free Falling/Learning to Fly - Tom Petty Howard Shore

    Looking For...

    hah, exactly.
  15. Well I've been looking for some old SNES RPGS if anyone wants to sell them, Ive collected quite a few...I wouldn't mind having: Breath of Fire or anything along those lines. thanks.
  16. Right On. Good call on The Nazgul. I thought the Green Gobline was pretty novelty.
  17. This album is pretty damn kicking. Be quiet and Drive acoustic, is jawsome. I love that second guitar. Simpleman and the Chauffeur stand out as well. Good Stuff.
  18. I've been reading a lot of Negative feedback for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I think they are definatly up there though. Howard Shores music is really amazing. Can't say enough about these films. Requiem for a Dream is a good one as well. I also dig M nights, movies eg. The Sixth Sense.
  19. For recent guitar players, I would definatly say: Omar Rodriguez Lopez of the Mars Volta
  20. This movies is great.
  21. Mike Patton > INXS "Mike Patton was asked to be the lead singer for INXS, an Australian rock band you've probably heard on the radio before." Quote: Patton apparently even went so far as to badmouth the group on Australian radio, making a tasteless joke in the process. "The DJ kept pressing it and pressing it," Patton recalled, mimicking an Australian accent: "'What do you mean you said no? You didn't even consider it?' And I said, 'Would you?' And he said, 'Of course, they are one of the most prestigious Australian acts,' blah blah blah. He'd ask me a few other questions, and then he'd go back to it. 'So really, about that INXS thing ...' I said, 'OK, look. I did consider it. I told them that the only way I would do it was if I came on stage and could rig up a noose and hang myself while I was singing.'" As it turned out, that joke went out on national radio during National Suicide Awareness Week-and while Michael Hutchence's parents were listening, no less. "I was rough, but hey, you can come out snarling when your back is against the wall," Patton said. "And plus they suck!" he added, laughing. "Fuck them! They are fucking godawful! And not only that, I turned them down and they didn't want me to talk about that fact? Kiss my ass! Dingo-loving sons of bitches!"
  22. I saw the Mars Volta and Nine Inch Nails play at the kool haus. The Mars Volta's headlining show was incredible.
  23. Godspeed You! Black Emporer... everyone has to listen to them.
  24. The only metal bands you listed were Opeth, KSE, and In flames. Listen to Meshuggah for some good metal. If you like in flames you will probably like Soilwork. I enjoy Opeths soft stuff more than their metal ie. Damnation album.
