Isis - In The Absence Of Truth

They were good when they opened for Tool, but the sound/venue didn't really do them justice. If you can, see them in a club or someplace small. -
Kevin Smith? LOL yes Jersey Girl was very underrated

It's always nice when two talentless hacks hook up. -
Country Rock Bullshit that's decent but not great. I think that is what is going to end up happening.

Figures the only somewhat experimental track is disliked. -
In the Evergreen Forest, there is a group of raccoons, the most rambunctious being Bert. Their home is peaceful and beautiful, but also threatened by the greedy aardvark industrialist, Cyril Sneer, who wants to destroy the forest for his own profit. Together with some dog friends and Cedric Sneer, Cyril's sympathetic son, they work to oppose Cyril through their newspaper and environmental initiatives. As the series progresses, they eventually win him over as they find themselves allied against other environmental dangers and enemies.

Even if William Shakespeare wrote it, the album would still be shit.

So Who Is Going To See Bob Dylan?

I don't hate anyone really. Like I said, why do you think these artists are influential? Maybe there is a bigger picture here... -
I agree. I wish he would take it another step above Avalanche for experimenting. I think we can all agree Matt's music is pretty stable and easy to get into...and that's fine. I just think if he were to use his talent to really push his music foreward it could be amazing. His sound really isn't maturing, it just sounds older. (this makes little sense). After Avalanche...White light was somewhat of a let down, and Oh Be Joyful is pretty much a piece of shit song. I'll keep listening anyways, even if it's just outright country/rock/pop bullshit...because his lyrics interest me at least. Anyone remotely see where I'm coming from here?

Well, why do you think he has so much influence? I don't really get what you mean, just sounds like you are going for a cheap shot on a unique voice. Better than hearing the same old sound. -

During the "time" it was basically him and the beatles that changed the face of mainstream rock and roll, adding meaningful lyrics to songs and pushing every boundary. I mean, he didn't even give a shit what his fans thought...he wanted to go electric, so he went electric. Toured the world and got boo'd off the stage by all of his original folk fans. I guess this is a stretch but I would compare that with Radiohead going Electronic on Kid A. It's all about artist growth in my opinion...but I'm going all over the place now. I don't know who the greater mainstream artists were at the time, I don't think anyone topped these two. Edit: So basically go see him before he kicks the bucket. -

If Bob Dylan came out on stage and passed out it would still be better than the foo fighters. People don't seem to realize just how influential Bob Dylan is and was. -
As long as it doesn't sound typical and the artist grows as they make more music I'll listen. AVANT-GARDE ISN'T THAT BAD GUYZ!!!

He's so uncool that he's cool.

I agree with it being the most Over-used soundtrack ever.
