I always enjoyed his stuff to an extent, but not enough to buy an album. Avalanche really got me into him...the only album that comes near that one is probably beautiful midnight. I don't know, he's just pretty solid at making rock tunes.

The Shining Full Metal Jacket Clockwork Orange 2001 Dr. Strangelove Killer's Kiss [he was a film student at the time] even Eyes Wide Shut to a certain extent Those are the only one's I've seen...all have been pretty Hawt. Every shot in the shining is chalked full of meaning...a masterpiece in my opinion...Especially the one scene where the son walks into the room and is caught between Jack and his reflection. I think a lot of people might like him for the wrong reasons...I don't know...I guess I can kind of see where you are coming from.

I think the reason the Departed got a lot of attention was because the academy has pretty much shafted Scorsese's work over the years. I suggest watching Raging Bull by him...film making at its finest.

I have an album of his I briefly listened to, not too shabby...I will give it another try this week hopefully.
