Does Anyone Listen To Jazz?
static replied to Disestabulistic's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I only pretend to listen to Jazz so that all my scenester friends think i'm cool. -
Dude the Wachowski's have written the adapted script. Not butchered. Made better. You should be thankful "The Watchmen" movie fell through.

Consider yourself the luckiest Matthew Good fan on the face of the Earth. Seriously, what the HELL was that song? Bon Tempo i can accept, for experimental reasons. But Coming out in Purple is worse than... Britney Spears covering I love Rock and Roll. *sigh* Sometimes i wonder about that boy...

I hope they die tomorrow. By a Live Wire no less.

Batman and Robin (boy that one's limiting)

SO pumped up for that one. Seeing as how it's my favorite graphic novel however, i'm only praying they won't screw it up. But as long as the director can hold his own with the Wachowskis, it should be amazing. Also that is the best movie poster i've seen this year.

Weapon, at the end. She's got a new disguise, through and through. SUCH a sad song.

It was SUCH an awesome redeeming movie. Apparently rumours are abound that because of its box office success, they're going to be remaking all of the other Batman movies (i'm assuming in the Nolan way.) I loved the way the villains were portrayed. Even in Batman & Batman Returns, the villains were a bit overdone. In this movie they seemed so much more real. The guy that played the scarecrow was awesome. In reference to the very first two qualms, i don't think the whole Holmes subplot could have been cut. I just think Holmes herself could've been. She's just lucky she's damn fine. I'm in full agreement with the action scenes. I understand Nolan didn't want to focus on that in fear of repeating Batman movie mistakes. But honestly, if youre going to put in a punchup scene at LEAST give the audience the chance to see what's going on. Matrix style shots are definitly the way to go.

Three Men and a Baby

Might as well - Grateful Dead

Up until this year he was my absolute favorite. But my taste has changed to more mellow bass-driven songs. Interpol and Eels are now my favorites. But Matt's still right behind them.

Matthew Good - In A Coma Due This Fall!
static replied to i'm indestructable's topic in Matthew Good
But is it a release of previously untouched tracks from that time? Or is it a greatest hits collection? I seem to recall matt posting two sample covers on his blog for the latter. -
Beck Ben Folds (Five) Blonde Redhead Bob Dylan Broken Social Scene Cherry Poppin Daddies Death Cab for Cutie DJ Shadow DVDA Electric Light Orchestra Interpol K-Os Le Tigre M83 Pink Floyd Radiohead Rufus Wainwright Sarah Harmer Sarah Slean Semisonic Sondre Lerche Squirrell Nut Zippers The Strokes The Unicorns The Walkmen Yann Tiersen If you haven't guess from the alphabetical order, this was all transcribed from my mp3 playlist as i scrolled down.

That's probably what his recent blog entry was referencing, because i know that there was one anoymous poster that was being quite the jerk.

It depends on my mood most of the time. Generally speaking, i think Prime Time Deliverance is my MGB fave.
-
But what would be the point of Matt only putting the track on for a few hours? ;)

lol i agree. It's the funniest movie i've seen all year. "I like you. You've got balls. I like balls." And don't even get me started on the speech on the assholes, dicks, and pussies. I was doubled over in laughter throughout that whole thing. I do have the lyrics for the Montage song. It was on a south park episode originally and i transcribed it from that: The day is approaching to give it your best. Youve got to reach your prime. That's when you need to put yourself to the test and show us a passage of time We're gonna need a montage. (Montage) A long straining montage. (Montage) Show a lot of things happening at once. Remind everyone of what's going on. With every shot show a little improvement. To show it all would take too long Thats called a montage.(montage) Even Rocky had a montage(montage) In any sport if you want to go from just a beginner to a pro You need a montage.(Montage) Just a little montage.(montage) Always fade out in a montage. If you fade out it seems a long time has passed in a montage.

YES!! I'm glad someone else has seen this amazing show. I found it by fluke in my channel surfing madness. Imagine my surprise when I learned this was a CBC show, not exactly known for their outrageous humour. Such an awsome show that should not be missed by anyone with a brain.

1. Donnie Darko 2. Lost in Translation 3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 4. BASEketball 5. Cyrano de Bergerac (french version)

Absolutly completly a great movie in all respects. The music was great because it completly reflected the movie's atmosphere. The only scary part of the movie was the jumping and talking hallucingenic fridge. Although I kinda wish someone would invent one....

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within A complete bomb of a movie and completly unrelated to the original games, but I liked it....... The effects were nice....... SHUT UP
