  1. maybe someone stole it from near the stage. Around that area there wasnt enough security. My friend in the moshpit actually surfed out and there was no guard to grab her and they just dropped her over.
  2. I got it at HMV for 9.99 a few months ago. They might still have that going on.
  3. I'd like Matt to do covers of his own music with his band, in the way he mixes it up live. He once played symbolistic white walls and added villain of the year to the end of it live at the commodore once. I really enjoyed it. He's also done some great live remixes of Load me up too.
  4. Im fine with downloading the CDs if they are inaccessible, as in your case, but it really pisses me off when people go on about how so and so is their favourite artist, but they refuse to support them by purchasing their CDs when they can.
  5. Wasnt it about going on tour with only acoustics and white light? the rock and roll review was added later I thought.
  6. I wasnt surprised seeing a moshpit for matt good. Last year there was even one for De La Soul, which I thought was retarded. Matt Good's always had some decent moshing songs. I don't know how a wrench got in the mix, is there proof of it or was it just a rumour someone started? There was enough security, any drunk guy with a wrench would have normally been told to leave.
  7. I actually thought I knew the girl there. I'll need to ask around to find out though. I was pretty surprised, though if it turns out to be her, not really. As for photos, I dont know why you want to see a drunk naked chick so badly.
  8. The clips on the NF store are pretty crappy, I cant even distinguish a single bit of the songs from those.
  9. I don't see how someone can be stupid enough to confuse those 2 bands in the first place. Their styles are not alike at all, or anything about the bands. I once found a rare "killers" poster on ebay which when you click the photo, it was the Kings of Leon.
  10. I heard apparitions on the radio in grade 7. I never bought underdogs until later. My friend later recorded Hello Time Bomb when it was first released and played it for me. From there I went to the record shop and bought Last of the Ghetto Astronauts and Beautiful Midnight. At first I didnt like either album and thought I had just wasted my money. They really grew on me after though.
  11. I actually don't believe they're the same person...
  12. Its taken awhile but its slowly growing on me.
  13. I tend to put most of my CDs onto the computer, and from there using the computer files for everything, not to keep teh CDs in quality condition, but moreso because they are easier to work with from the computer, just put them on the ipod and plug it into my deck whenevre I go out in the car.
  14. If anyone is into good indie canadian music, Arcade Fire is a great band to check out. They don't have any tour dates in BC for the moment, but are working on a north american tour so theres still a chance they may stop here. Theres been alot of hype around this band, based on their amazing live shows, in which 8 or 9 members are on stage to make sure the song comes off right. If anyone's interested, check out Rebellion (lies) or Wake up.
  15. The only other movie I saw staring Christian Bale was Equilibrium, which is one of my favourites since. If anyone is into George Orwell's 1984 or the Matrix to some extent, its a great movie to try out.
  16. I could picture Harrison Ford doing it too. They don't describe Robert Langdon at all as anyone like Tom Hanks. He just doesn't suite the role, no matter how good of an actor he is. Its like casting anyone white guy to play the role of a black guy in a movie.
  17. I really liked Joy Division in there. The asshole in the movie is also the lead singer for Phantom Planet, its Alex Greenwald I believe.
  18. here's the link to some spoiler images if anyone wants a look: http://www.millenniumfalcon.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3638
  19. ...even the scenes in therapy when he starts to touch himself? Donnie Darko is a great movie, but I can't see it relating to and MGB material.
  20. yea, he did the teddy bear thing at the Vogue in '99. When in Kamloops later in '99 it was a CD of All Saints I believe. He stuck it on a spike and melted the whole thing. I'd complain it was a waste of money, but it was probably a waste of money to record such a horrible set of songs too.
  21. I don't think we'd find an accurate explanation to the song. Persuasion is about as close as you can get, and thats still extremely vague. Every line is a metaphor, it'd take countless hours to figure out what each line really meant and solve it from there. Thats what I like about his songs, they're just too hard to solve.
  22. One of the best shows I saw of Matt was in in Kelowna or Kamloops, I always get them mixed up. Anyways, it was in the city's arena, and Copyright and Treble Charger opened. Only about 500 people there for the first half. Hardly any media attention for the shows. This was when Matt was testing out ideas on his tour, so he brought people from the audience up onto stage to sing backgrounds to Load me up, and others to play Playstation during other songs on stage. Matt then sang Suburbia while playing Coolboarders 4 or 3.
  23. ok well that solves that.
  24. wasnt the other one "details" or were those the same ones?
  25. I'll have to try that one next. I am not a fan of Seriously serious though.
