Haha. I wish! Request a couple, i could probably do it for you (assuming the tabs are of a high enough accuracy/quality). I don't know how i'd notate it though, other than just naming the chords and giving the notes of any applicable melodies. I can't read (or write) real music notation. But, playing guitar, that is not really much of a detriment in most cases. Guitar and staff music don't really go well together, due to any given note on a guitar having as many as 5 different places to play it in the same octave, and having a limit for stretches set by the width of my hand. Also, guitar players are limited (in comparison to piano) by having a maximum of 6 notes you can play at any one time, ever. I'd still like to be able to read music though...

They're in the tabs... but you would have to play (or at least know) guitar to extract them from it. It is far, far easier to find tabs to guitar-based music than it is to find real notation for it. And trumpet tabs? Really? Wouldn't that be pretty much unusably difficult?

What do you consider 'alternative rock'? Does Godspeed You! Black Emperor and music like that (other music from Constellation Records) count? That entire genre is almost exclusively populated by Canadian bands, and was originated in Montreal. If that does count, all those numerous bands are Canadian, and the label itself it also Canadian. I can give you a delicious Prime Rib and Steakhouse (Smuggler's Inn), and delicious deli & sandwiches (Keith's Deli), but I at least for the moment can not think of any place other than Peter's thats as well known for its burgers. It may still be open now, but it won't be for much longer, so it depends on when your friend is going down there.

The only place to be during a zombie invasion is Canadian Tire. They have everything: hardware, guns & ammo, and many various other supplies. As for the food situation, i find they are often very close to grocery stores of some type, so all you would need to do is build a tunnel or fortifed passageway and you'd be set!

The world would be so much more interesting if there was a common threat. Nothing lame like the DPRK or Libyans or shit like that, but zombies, or aliens, or dragons or something wicked like that. Something where you can go out on weekends and defend humanity by killing shit. As much as i truly hate people (in general), i'm sure i would hate zombies or dragons or zombie dragons so much more. That would be so entertaining; i'd finally have a reason to get up in the mornings.
