I never fully realized the genius that so many people were quick to label The White Stripes with. I thought their songs were a little gimmicky.

What are you talking about? Gears of War is scheduled to come out in November. It's called Emergence Day. Look it up.

It's either Nov. 12th, or the 17th. They're releasing it around the same time as the PS3.

The footage from Gears of War just looks so amazing. And, because I haven't seen any real footage from Halo 3, it's a tight race right now.
