  1. Inescapeable Us forsure, that song really got me into matt good. I bought underdogs when apparitions came out and when I heard that song...well, pretty much fell in love. "kill what I came to keep alive" probaly one of matts greatest most un-reconized lyrics. I also think the house of smoke and mirrors doesn't get as much attention as I think it would...I dunno maybe it's just me.
  2. your thyroid has nothing to do with emotions. It's a gland that releases thyroxin which stimulates your metabolism. If you were over or under weight, had too much energy or were lathargic it would be because of your thyroid.
  3. myspace that has the gate atleast
  4. I hate the whole "they've done better attitude" its like saying...sure weapon is good but matt did better with apparations...Thats not how you should analyze music, infact you shouldn't analyze it in the first place. Just enjoy it. The new song kicks ass by the way and I can't wait for their new alblum.
  5. has he played life beyond the minimum safe distance yet?
  6. dance dance, that song has so much originality and passion...either that or "this is how you remind me" by nickleback... </sarcasm> Kid A by radiohead, ever hear the john mayer cover?
  7. oh yeah, total pearl jam fan, I can't wait for their new alblum. I saw them on the canadian tour last fall and it was the best show I've ever been to.
  8. please please somone bootleg hurt if he plays it in ontario...PLEASE!

  10. tonights show wasn't as hot as mondays but it was still pretty fantastic. The set was pretty similar but with the addition of a few songs. He opened the night with avalanche...this was promising but the song just doesn't work well as an acoustic piece. He also sorta messed up load me up (he admited this after the song) which was a bummer because it was a highlight monday. For the Encore he played symbolisitic white walls but only because the crowd was begging for it. He also started advertising on police cars but then stopped and played prime time deliverance instead. Matt was once again in good spirits and took breaks between songs to satire some book that he was given that gives advice on how to survive differen't situations. He joked about once part of the book that said to pick your kid up if you were attacked by a mountain lion. EDIT: no fated tonight...that was a major let down
  11. First Lethbridge show was amazing, matt looked sorta tired (half drunk maybe?) but was in good spirits. The venue wasn't the best but I was right up front and could see everything good. The show sold out so it was packed and I think most of the people there were pretty big matthew good fans. There was lots of shouts from the audience, requests...stuff like that. Matt was amazing, even with just an acoustic guitar he was able to put on a very dynamic show. The set was as follows (I got the set list so this is exactly what matt wrote) Strange So Long/Terror Breath of a nation (new) Alert Status Protest Song Fine Art Catastrophe x-wing tripoli prime time load apparitions There were only a few minutes inbetween the set and the encoure. This encoure was the best I've ever seen matt do, this was my 5th matthew good show and is probaly my faverout...I do say that after each one though. anyways, encoure was fated indestructible life beyond the minimal safe distance cant get shot in the back empty road Highlights were fated (he said it was the first performance in...6 years I think..) Life beyond the minimal safe distance, can't get shot in the back and so long mrs smith. The whole show was great. I'm going back tomorrow night so I'll probaly post again then...
  12. he (dallas) has a lot of talent but his CD is boring, who wants to listen to boring music?
  13. anyone else see the irony of everyone making the same "their music is too repetative" arguement? on that note, their music is way too repetative...anyone who perms their hair shouldn't be a rockstar.
  14. yeah because only losers go to concerts or to the bars, the real cool kids stay home and talk to girls on the WEBBERNET
  15. woo hoo, got tickets to both nights...and for the mac hall the night after, 3 nights of matt in a row
  16. Did matt ever really want to "break the US" I think he would have had a good shot when he was with MGB, better than he has now atleast...
  17. Its not really news though, its matts opinion on selected news items. I'd rather hear matts opinions on other things, the news still I guess but more than just that...music and such. The nude pics of jen would be a bonus but she bugs the shit out of me, ever read her blog?
  18. His site is boring, everday it's a section of some news article saying the same thing as all the other news articles he posts...I liked it better when he wrote stories...years ago
  19. haha, good stuff. Anyone see that movie matt made about voting and the election and wesetern alienation? It was a long time ago...like, around when Beautiful midnight came out
  20. Dusk and Fated
  21. worst post ever, what a waste of time... and ya, I was totaly wearing a green t-shirt. and ya the crowd was a little rough, you guys right up front probaly got the worst of it too.
  22. Did anyone see that old man get taken away by security right before Matt came out. He was just standing there on his own minding his own buisness when security came a took him away. It was weird to say the least. The show was good though, I thought the sound was fine and I was right up front and center about 1 or 2 rows of people from the rail. This was the 4rth time I've seen matt and I thought the crowd as better than usual. (other than that dude screaming "rock this bitch!" over and over) Had these 2 chicks behind me digging their elbows into me trying to get infront of me, that got annoying but hilarious at the same time because I didn't move. I was the guy screaming "play radiobomb!" if anyone wants to know. I crowd surfed during alert status red, that was pretty rad, especially when security tried to grab me and the crowd moved me away. I liked the 21st century living without the rant, it was cool with them just jamming and the lights all blue and stuff. I didn't much care for Matt's political rant. Sure he's a great artist and what not but I find his whole political activism annoying. I go to his shows to listen to music not to listen to Matt talk about something he's not exactly an expert on. I know I sound like a prick but if I wanted a social lecture I would go to a social class. I had a great time anyways though. I thought the L&G sucked though, couldn't stand them. Every song was the same, dumb keyboards, lacking guitar, stupid maracas and extremely boring drums. There was no real energy behind them, nothing catchy or anything either to listen to. I swear that drummer played the EXACT same beat for 3/4's of his songs. I could have done anything any of those guys did (even grow that sweetass facial hair) I thought the set list was pretty decent to but kind of wished he had included a few more songs. I think someone already mentioned strange days, the future is x-rated or anti-pop would have been good, haven't slept in years, near fantastica, generation x-wing. Would have liked to see any of those. All in all it was a pretty good time, I don't what some of you are talking about not going if you would have known it would have turned out that way. You need to lighten up and stop whinning, a shows a show, theres always going to be problems or drunk assholes but there is no use complaining about it. What else would you have spent your evening doing? flames game maaaaaaybe but everyone knows the flames suck ;) (vancover's better)
  23. they all sucked
  24. link please I love new guys who know a lot
