Cover Songs
Seanathon replied to Monkey's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Holy fuck I hate Buble. Seriously. I actually kind of liked that DC cover(what?), in fact, I can't remember who did the original at the moment. And really? I always thought the country version came after (I've seen a video for it on cmt). Either way, I prefer the Vertical Horizon version. -
Top 5 favourite songs at the moment 5) MGB - Middle Class Gangsters 4) Limblifter - The Auctioneer 3) Wintersleep - Jaws of Life 2) Jim Cuddy - Pull Me Through 1) Brand New - Degausser

Songs That Click

Brand New - Degausser I have no idea what the song is actually about, but shit do I love it. Especially the chorus, and the last half of it. -
Lost & Alias.

Transformers. The first movie I've seen in theatres in YEARS, and it was boss. Truly. People cheering when they would sneak in a line from the cartoon was too funny.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but, are you actually following this show, Meg? -
In your opinion what?

Saw this on some news program. I believe they said that it is comparable in terms of addictiveness (word?) to heroin. Is that even possible in any way?

!!!! I stopped reading the thread here, for fear of spoilers, for lack of a better term.

Limblifter (superthread)
Seanathon replied to Poprocks's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
After going back and listening to both Bellaclava and self titled, I actually find myself thinking that Bellaclava is the best release they've put out. Then again, even some of the semi weird demos they've put on myspace were pretty good. -
I figured, but I had to make the cliched guy joke.

True. There are some bands, such as the ones mentioned, that take themselves way too seriously, and probably think they are extremely relevent. Me, on the other hand, I'm thinking I wouldn't care that my entire fanbase consisted of squealing 13 year olds in band shirts and ridiculous makeup if I was making that kind of money. Purely hypothetical of course.

This was my first thought. A 150 year old brain and a 20 year old body wouldn't do you much good.

continuing with the offtopic-ness, I nearly lost it completely when I first heard The Rat.. live. The acoustic tour was of course, full of these moments. On topic, I'll cop to liking Gunnin'. Either version.
