A non-suck National? This group has nothing even remotely close to the calibre of the National's new cd. Hell, Alligator is easily one of the best releases this year. The Rosebuds sound like mindless rock, not bad, but more in the category of The Marble Index or something.

"Making Sunshine" and "Ana and Mia" from Den of Thieves are both great. When I first heard their new one nothing really stood out except for those two tracks but as I listened more it grew on me. Its actually a really solid album. I recommend it to anyone who likes straight up Canadian Rock.

Buffalo7 what's that like? I've heard good things. I don't really know what to compare it to. A lot of people have been comparing them to arcade fire, but i don't really hear it. I would recommend it though. I've listened to it about 4 times and love it. I hear hints of Modest Mouse in there too. Counting Crows - Recovering the Satellites

Hey, I can't seem to find any of Dallas' new stuff. Where'd you find it and how can I get ahold of some new tunes? Also, for those of you who haven't heard of them (they are an old band), Kashmir are a really amazing. They've kinda got a Interpol type sound to them on their latest album. Check out "Kalifornia" or "Jewel Drop".

"A Decade Under The Influence" and "Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)" are both really solid songs.

The album he just recently recorded is supposed to sound more like his live act.

I saw them a while back in Nelson BC, and was pretty impressed. I think, if I remember correctly, by the time the show was nearing an end, the lead singer was stripped down to his undies, sweating and dancing like crazy. Good times.

Jimmy Eat World - Table For Glasses

Does anyone have their first album Combing The Clouds? I just picked it up from a used record store and I like it quite a bit. Its got a more classic rock type feel but you could definately tell its them. Makes me wonder why they changed their direction so much for this newer album.
