Giger is amazing. Frightening and amazing.

Not an artist but I'm very (predictably) interested in a style of art called Superflat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superflat

I was introduced to it, when we had to take a trip to look at artwork for an assignment for New Media Interaction.

Chiho Aoshima had a HUGE piece covering a whole wall of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This one actually

my very favourite artists (a duo) are christo and jeanne-claude.

i knew about them, but when i saw their display at the ago my head exploded.

i also love philip pearlstein. such great nudes. he inspires me a lot.

i am most inspired by jack kerouac, though. i know he's a writer but it really shapes my paintings. every word that he has transfer onto paper is solid gold.

are there any pictures of your paintings linked on the bored anywhere? he wrote my absolute favorite book and i'd like to see your work if it's kerouac inspired.

I love Vermeer (and pretty much anything of the Northern Baroque persuasion), Degas, Velasquez, and Gericault. Art history excites me a lot...because I'm a loser.
