New Deftones!

New Deftones CD is titled "Saturday Night Wrist" and will be released on October 10th says this sitethough I had heard the 31st, I'm happy it's been moved up! Deftones = <3

I don't know, I read raving reviews on their new single so I went to their myspace, listened to it and it's so meh, I wasn't excited or impressed at all.

I'll say that the single isn't great, but how often is one single indicative of how the rest of the CD will be? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

i just liked what i heard, which tended to be the more shoegaze-inspired material. i have a soft spot for that kind of music.

Agreed, especially with Maynard's appearance on Passenger. That album still rules my world

White Pony is awesome. Around the Fur as some great songs on it. Deftones SUCKED. I hated it...

i like minerva and battle axe off of their last one. can't remember if i like the rest. i know i hate the songs where chino screams instead of singing. i haven't listened to adrenaline in years, so i don't know if i'd still like it.

I've never been huge on their self-titled album. It has worked it's way into my "bring to work" CD's but It all sounds new to me since I hardly listen to it.

I don't think they could ever do another Around the Fur. Even though White Pony was better, it's still no Around the Fur. they keep changing themselves in subtle ways that make their music all so much different than the other stuff... yet so similar.
