i picked up their cd while i was in toronto last week. overall it's pretty good... pleasantly surprised... i was expecting dead flowers to be the only good song.

 

did they open for matt on the avalanche tour?? i think they did, but i'm not quite sure. anyway, if it was them, they sucked terrible live back then... but their new disc is pretty good.

 

i heard they were at edgefest... any good?

They did open for Matt on his Avalanche tour... and I agree that they were less than stellar with the exception of the tamberine player who just went crazy the whole time.

Your right... the Dears did open but the Miniatures went on before them... I don't blame you if you don't remember them.

To stay on topic, I don't really like The Miniatures. Broken Flowers is an okay song, but I think it could be spiffed up a little or something. It's too repetitive.

 

Is the rest of their music library worth checking out?

Yeah, it must have been because I went to the Toronto show. But I definitely saw them perform before The Dears.

I don't think so. Friday April 11th, 2003 at the Kool Haus. Maybe I'm going insane? I don't know. Haha. I know I was not the only one who went to this show. So if anyone out there can confirm my insanity, that'd be good.

The show I went to only featured two acts. No Minatures OR Pilate.

The April 2003 Toronto show I went to at the Kool Haus had The Miniatures and The Dears open for Matt. The July 2003 show that I went to in St. Kitts. were supposed to have Pilate open for Matt but they didn't show up or something, I'm not sure.
