There are actually tremors, of late, of String Theory falling out of favor, or at least having some competition. Not that I have my sources in line, right now.

 

Theoretical physics are incredibly engrossing, though.

Yes, I'm a HUGE physics buff. It's all just so fascinating, and I think it appeals to an innate curiosity we all possess about the 'big questions.'

 

String theory is pretty mindblowing, but also very difficult to reconcile with traditional beliefs. I love how it explains so much, but also don't really understand how. I guess I'll just take scientists word for it.
