Japanese Restaurant In Vancouver?

This has been bugging me forever, and now my friends and I need a cool place to eat at next Sunday, so it's bugging me even more

 

A long time ago, I think Matt mentioned on his blog, this really awesome looking Japanese restaurant, and for the life of me, I can't remember what it's called >.< I tried looking for it in the archives, but no dice.

 

Does *anyone* remember what it was called?

I'm not too sure.... maybe Wong's? haha, that's the only asian name that comes to mind.... i got that guess from the lyrics to So Long Mrs. Smith

its probably hapa izakaya, ive seen matt & jen there a few times. its on robson st.

 

 

i've been there a million times... so my advise is to make sure you get reservations/call in advance or you'll be standing at the front like a chump for 45 minutes.
