Favorite Song From The 80's?

Recommended Posts

Posted

the decade had some pretty good tracks...there was a time when I thought it was all fluff and didn't have any substance, but I now consider it all to be a lot of fun and some of it really cool.

My favorites: Men Without Hats - Safety Dance and Soft Cell - Tainted Love

Any other favorites?

I can't help but laugh when i hear their music, it puts me in a good mood.

On one hand it sounds lame, but on the other it's catchy

Though officially released december 14 1979... I'm gonna have to say All Lost In the Supermarket/London Calling/Train in Vain/etc, from the Clash's London Calling.

With a release date like that it's pretty much 80s. Best ablum of the 80s too, so says my humble opinion, ofcourse.

EDIT: Never included the album name for some cool reason.

there was a lot of cool shit in the 80s, if you like faggy new wave gothy synthy dancy hairbandy crap, which i do, so i can't really name favourite songs.

I Melt With You - Modern English

Oh Yeah - Yello

My Sharona - The Knack.

So technically My Sharona is from 1979, but it's 80's enough.

how are we forgetting "dont you forget about me" by tears from fears. I mean, it is the breakfest club soundtrack.
