buffalo77 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Has anyone received an email back from Matt ever? I emailed him on his Website last year and actually had some back and forth emailing with him. I was shocked that he took the time to respond to fans like that. Very cool!
Guest Prosis Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 It depends on his mood/time I think because sometimes you get an answer real quick and sometimes you never get an answer...
Guest apsham Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Emailed him about his show around here which was 19 plus, at the time I was 16 and couldn't get in so he told me that I could come during soundcheck to meet him and stuff, which I thought was rather bitching.
Guest Prosis Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Or maybe he doesn't answer me anymore cos I'm annoying
Muran Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Emailed him about his show around here which was 19 plus, at the time I was 16 and couldn't get in so he told me that I could come during soundcheck to meet him and stuff, which I thought was rather bitching. I find that to be the sweetest thing he could do for a fan. That's really kind of him. Did you take him up on the offer?

I felt like a cancer patient or something, I've been playing guitar and performing for a few years so he went over some of the equipment and this was about the time I was getting into his writing and was interested in becoming a journalist so we talked about the things he was writing about at the time, and then I took off since I had to be out of there at a certain point in time.
Ravenous megin-sane Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 that's amazing. i think i'd probably explode if that happened

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I'd like to meet the guy, he seems really cool, but I honestly don't know what I'd say to him. I'd just be like every other boring fan out there, going "I really love this song..." and whatnot.
Gallick Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Emailed him about his show around here which was 19 plus, at the time I was 16 and couldn't get in so he told me that I could come during soundcheck to meet him and stuff, which I thought was rather bitching. I emailed him asking the same thing this previous acoustic tour and he never replied. ;)
Computer Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I emailed him and he replied saying that thousands of gay porn website spam bots now have my email.
Hoverball Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Most of my emails have basic one eord answers. I guess I never ask anything meaningful or he doesn't have the time and/or care. But it's all good.
little miss sunshine Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I e-mailed him after my mom died and told him how his music was helping me and he e-mailed back and was really nice.
Guest Prosis Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Well from what I could gather by the many times I spoke with Matt by email (because of various web projects we did) if you have something intelligent and interesting to say, then you'll get answers and nice ones too, if not, you either get the one word reply, the insulted reply (ie: the gay porn thing if it's true...you must've been mean) or the no reply... Me I had my suck-up fanboy phase while I was making mgb.com in french so he didn't reply very often. I had my careless phase where I even had an argument online with him at some point, then we made up, sort of (because I don't think he actually made up because I doubt he even would care if we made up or not lol) then I became an adult lol and so no longer a fanboy who would wet his pants if I met him again (not that I actually did that when we met, but I was very overexcited...you can see a lot of my teeth in those pictures I'll tell ya) then we worked together on a forum for the MBlog, then that went shit and since then, for the very few times I've emailed him...nothing...
prototypepariah Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 We had cyber once.......a one hand stand : ) !
magoba77 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Does anyone remember a few years back when Matt put up those emails from that girl from the States on his site. They exchanged some heated emails after he put up something against George Bush.
