can someone please tell me why these bands are so great??? or pete doherty's music in general and why he's being hailed as the spokesperson for a generation despite the fact that he can't actually form sentences?

i have never heard a song by either band, all i know is the lead singer is dating kate moss. it is the paris hilton of bands.
