This is a poll to guesstimate... say whatever number you think it might be, even its wrong.

I would just like to have a grasp on the number of how many people around the world KNOW of Matt Good and ENJOY his music.

These people do not have to be fanatics... but they do have to listen to Matt every now and then.

So gimme a number !

I wouldnt know what to choose... I dont live in Canada (or the States) even to know how many people may know Matt there... I can tell u that probably I'm the only one (maybe one more? 2 more? I'd like to find that person/those people not to feel so "isolated"!! ;) ) who knows Matt in Spain... never heard in my entire life anybody talking about Matt in my country or even admitting that he/she knows him... sad but true...

matt is known well in the US and Canada though... so im thinking it could be a large number. But who knows?

Does Billboard give any number on fans? how many people do normally go to his concerts? do they take place in big stadiums or small concerts pubs/bars?

Posted

but did he use to? why doesnt he play big stadiums anymore? not enough fans to fill a stadium? ;)

Posted

Do you think fans of the past are no longer fans of the present? ... i mean do they just not like him anymore?

Posted

People who go to concerts aren't always fans. They just like the song they hear on the radio. Plus it would cost a bit for Matt to rent out GM place. Maybe TBIRD stadium..

i dont think so... if you are a fan of the past, you "must" be a fan of the present because there's nothing which has changed so so much for someone to stop liking Matt/Matt's music... he hasnt changed his voice to worse, he hasnt changed his music to a completely different style...

i dont know, i guess that if i like his stuff i wouldnt have any reason not to like him anymore...

and maybe he isnt publicly accepted for what he has done. Now he is less "advertised" or whatever and people have forgotten him?

thats a possibility.

He's also mellowed down a bit and got nicer. So he's not an asshole now... and he's singing about a better world. Not random things and drugs.

I'll go with over a million, it might be an insane thought, but I'd like to think that at least that many folks enjoy his music.

Yup, gotta reach for the stars, and here, there's at least a somewhat realistic chance of it being a true figure as well.

Just be glad that no one has yet voted for 0-1,000. Now should that happen, the person voting will be sent straight to the bowels of Hell, where they will listen to nothing but lifeless "pop" music for all eternity.

Matt seemed to lose a lot of fans right after the break up of MGB? Why is that? Did he look like the bad guy?

Posted

He just wanted out of all that shit he went through. He was actually a good guy for doing it... saying no to the pressure
