Great movie. Really refreshing to see a funny movie that wasn't full of inside jokes and cameos.

 

They were about 10 Apatow-universe (undeclared, freaks and geeks) cameos.

I'm guessing you're referring to the musical finale, right? I found it amusing and completely unexpected. One moment Steve Carell and Catherine Keener are lying and bed, and then he just looks into the camera and breaks into that 'Age of Aquarius' song. Funny...

I loved the scene where Steve is packing up his toys and he has the emotional goodby with the Aquaman doll. Great stuff.
