Strippers Union is a band made up of three Odds (Craig, Doug, and our favourite drummer Pat) and Rob Baker from the Hip...and a guy from Doug and the Slugs...

I won tickets to a private show in Edmonton tomorrow but I don't know what to expect. I never got to see the Odds play before they broke up, so I am really excited. Has anyone heard the single yet? 'Give Up and Go Away' is the title I believe...

I hope they play an Odds tune or two...I would shit.

I told my boss at the music store about this. He's a huge Trag and Odds fan and got pretty excited.

Do you know if they have an album recorded?

Yeah, I found out tonight that it's called 'Local 518' while the band itself is Strippers Union.

It was pretty fucking rad. There were maybe 50 people at the show, free drinks, and Craig Northey and Rob Baker played a small acoustic set. The songs sound pretty good, I really dug them. They played the Hip's "Small Town Bringdown" and the Odds' "Satisfied". Afterwards they just mingled with everyone, so I finally got to meet and speak to Craig. So cool...

I'm still on a high from this.

Yeah, they dropped by at the CJAY92 radio station studio yesterday and played an acoustic set. It sounded pretty good.
