I have come to appreciate this band greatly over the years. Anthony is pretty cool so is Flea and it's awesome how they have been composing and performing fresh material for the last few years.

 

From 1976 when they formed to "Nina's song" to "By the Way". This band is truely awesome. They seem to love their fans and look like a lot of fun at concerts.

 

What do you think they'll do next? Fortune Faded sounds promising. But let's hope it's not what'll happen to the band heh.

you know, i dont really agree with you....i mean there old music was just such awesome stuff....but there recent songs have been kinda tired and dissapointing, still good, but just a lower standard of good....its almost easier to pretend that they havent made a new CD in 5 years

I love all of their stuff. I listen to them a lot in my car. And KROQ plays them all the time (kind of a home-town-boys-done-good thing)

i guess its age, or lack of inspiration....melowing out coupled with using most of there good ideas...i mean compare old metallica with new metallica...or old tragically hip with new tragically hip...it happens to most long running band....hell even LP...hybrid theory was better than meteora

No matter how old and grey RHCP get, they'll always remain one of my favourite bands. They are amazing live. Their energy doesn't stop. Amazing. *tear*

I like them very much but my buddy went to see them live last weekend (they played as part of a summer festival in Galicia, northwest of Spain) and he's told me that he got very disappointed by their performance: they didnt sound very well and the voice was not as percet as always ;)

RHCPs are great, too bad they didnt perform that well... but i heard they are supposed to be awesome at concerts. They have a pretty cool sounding band... full of energy and such. I wish i had more of their songs ;)

actually I've seen them twice - last year and 2 years ago - and I couldnt believe my buddy when he was telling me that... but I trust him because he's even more a fan of them than me and he got back from the concert very disappointed... maybe it was just that concert that went bad...

 

for downloading music I use a program called "e-mule" (www.emule-project.net) where you can find tones of music and many complete albums (in zipped files)

I LOVE RHCP...I liked the old nickelback. I think the new nickelback is crap. I dont mind some eminem but i would never...and i mean NEVER... go to a rap consert.

 

Anyway thats my opinions on those bands
