Any Metric fans in here? I've seen them live twice and they are awesome!

The Metric system is inferior, definitely.

 

The band however are very good. Haven't seen them live, but I imagine that it would be very entertaining.

and october they are incredibly entertaining live, emily (the lead singer) dances around like a wildwoman

I saw Karen O. of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs live and she was pretty nuts...not Thom Yorke nuts...but nuts.

I saw Radiohead in the summer of 2001 at Thunderbird with the Beta Band...they played 2.5 hours...it was nuts. No Fake Plastic Trees though... ;)

 

Saw them at the Coachella festival again a few months back in Indio. They were amazing, but the Cure owned.

wow 2 and half hours eh? that's awesome, not many bands do that anymore...kinda like the days of zepplin when they's play for like 3 hours.

crusader did you go listen to metric? they are actually better live because their recorded stuff is a little more techno-ish and live they are more rock.

ya i guess it sounds a little girlie, but she is a female singer and does have a pretty high voice.

the lyrics aren't girlie though. one of my fav lines is "let's drink to the military/the glass is empty"

is that a harp I hear in the background? it's really mellow and I like how it sounds ;) she also sounds kinda hot and gwen stefani-ish. just my 2cents.

she is totally hot. the first time i saw them they were opeing for tegan and sara and everyone in the audience were totally drooling over her. its more the way she acts thent he way she looks, know what i mean?

ah yeah, I get what you mean. yeah her voice sorta sounds like avril lavigne live... no offense if you don't like avril heh.

i don't mind her, i find her lyrics incredibly simple but i do like her voice and i think she's really pretty. she does have a few songs that i think why avril, why can't all your songs be like this? and then there are some that just make me hang my head.

it makes me realy mad though that people always bash her, i think she's done really well for herself

oh ya sk8ter boi is horrendous and there's a few on her new CD that are like that too (if you go to her website you can hear the whole thing) but one song on her new CD called forgotten is a wicked song. i love the piano in it.
