Does anyone have that post a while back that Matt made in regards to sharing live concerts, because he knew that UMusic wouldn't release a live album?

 

If someone has it, can you post it and just remind me where its from, cause I need to reference it for an assignment.

since there isnt any possibility for retail value there is no reason why it should be disallowed. And if someone is picking up a bootleg instead of going to a concert...then that person is a real underachiever.

Pretty much just keep them within the community and don't sell them and he won't hunt you down and kill you.

i don't see anything morally or legally wrong with trading bootlegs. there is no money to be made (if one follows friendly trade rules) and no money to be lost

I dont think he would mind trading bootlegs... he should feel "proud" that there are so many fans wanting to hear him live ;) don't u think so?

I'm pretty sure he mentioned how he wouldn't mind some sort of bootlegging community. He even commented on some of the bootlegs released through the metro (at least I think it was the metro, all the boards are a blur to me). I don't think it's any big deal.

When I met him after the Oct 24th show in Toronto, I told him how great the show was, and that the bootlegs don't do it justice.

 

He seemed to be pretty interested in that topic, cause he kinda went on about how great he thinks his bootleg community is, and that he would like to set up a site where a whole community could just swap files and stuff. He was totally cool with it. I knew that already, that's why I TOLD him the bootlegs don't do the show justice. I don't think I'd ever say something like that to Lars Ulrich if I met him.
