Sigur Ros

I've been listening to them for a good 3 and a half years now, and when I heard Staraflur in The Life Aquatic I was so happy. If that whole movie had sucked(which it DID NOT) that would have saved it.

I'm glad they are finally getting some attention over here.

yeah, they sing in that language that i can't speak. for all the hype these guys get, they could be singing about jello, and you'd have no clue.

They've been one of my favorite bands for a while.

 

They just have such a different and fantastic sound. I was pretty pumped when my other favorite band, Thursday, decided to cover one of their songs.

 

And you have to check out their videos. They're all pretty impressive.

i would have to agree that they are very good. the fact that you cant understand what he says makes the vocals more of an instrument and not vocals. i think thats cool.

That's exactly what they use the vocals for. Most of the time he's singing in a language the made up called Hopelandic (I think that's right). It's creepy in a good way.

I just love their sound and the way he plays the guitar with a violin bow, it looks so cool,

Plus Jonsi has the best voice, and he's the cutest little gay man ever, next to Rufus of course.
