I'm told to truly appreciate it, one needs to be familiar with the graphic novel(s), and I am not, so maybe that was it.

I'm obsessed with Robert Rodriguez... and as such, I think it's his master-piece (though, to be honest there wasn't too much competition for that)

Agree about Robert Rodriguez. He really made my night when I saw how faithfully he adapted Frank Millers' work to the screen. Unprecedented.

 

And man oh man, Jessica Alba was perfect. So sweet, and innocent, I could just lock her away and keep her forever.

for someone that didn't read the comics, it was a little hard to follow. But the cimenatograpy was really impressive. It's so cool how it's just black, white, and red.

I really liked Sin City, I watched it twice in a week and it didn't bore me even for a bit. I thought the look of it was very stylish and unique and the story was very cool too. You gotta love Marv! ;)

Since people are bringing up Robert Rodriguez... I gotta respect that guy. The DGA told him he couldn't give Frank Miller co-directing status and he quit, basically saying "f-u"... now, had he been a much more independent director it would have been a bigger deal, but still, it's nothing to scoff at!
