Family Guy's animated, so a comeback was a lot easier than it would be for AD (if it was based on DVDs).

 

Mitch Hurwitz said a month ago that if the show got canned, he would shop it around elsewhere. So the best plan is to petition HBO and NBC to pick it up, and just forget about FOX.

Arrested Development apparently is a pretty expensive show to produce, so that may deter some of the cable networks.

NBC would be wise to pick this up and pair it with The Office.

Yeah, it's about 1.5m per episode, only cable network that could probably afford it is HBO.

 

And yeah, NBC would be a nice fit if they paired it with The Office/My Name Is Earl/Scrubs. Hopefully they're desperate enough to give it a chance.

NBC doesn't have a spot for it on the schedule. They're gonna air it when something gets cancelled. They are filming episodes currently though and all 24 for this season are guranteed to air at some point. It's expected to be back on the air by the end of January.

Fox hasn't cancelled AD yet, they have reduced the order down to 13 episodes. This leaves 8 episodes left that FOX want's to delay until after the all important sweeps month of November ends. Remind yourself that FOX has House returning Mondays in January so that leaves 4 weeks and 8 Episodes. Hopefully they'll air them back to back 2 eps a week until its over.

 

NBC, Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime are all possible networks that Mitch & Co. can pitch it to.

 

Fox has made a huge mistake.

You know, I had an interesting idea today. What if Arrested Development were to just exclusively release the new episodes on itunes? They already sell music videos for $2. $2 x 4 million people - $1.5 million product costs per episode = $6.5 million dollars in profit on each episode. Who needs television networks anymore?

it's been so long! (since the shows been on. but, no, i guess it's been awhile since i shit myself, too.)
